Went to KTM Bundgarden, Pune yesterday. 390 test rides will commence only once they get RTO registration done. There will be a DUKE 390 test ride event at Hinjevadi IT Park on next Sunday. I have registered for that. The showroom guy, friend of mine said that there are no issues with 390. Just that the initial lots are being dispatched abroad on priority.

That was what KTM Lajpat Nagar quoted to me here.Originally posted by Ishan Sagar View PostI am going with Bajaj Finance they told me that down payment for the bike will be around 64k and 36 EMIS will be going to around 4.6k per month at the interest of 11.5 %..
i am from Bhopal and here the OTR is 2,06,000. How it is different from my place to yours?
i mean to say the OTR is more at my place then yours but i need pay less amount as EMIS than what come in your calculations?
The EMIs quoted to you are very good. As its like you are paying only 23600 as interest over 36 months period. It is actually less than 11.5% p.a simple interest .Street racing is for Squids trying to make up for their small equipment

Had a talk with the KTM guy at CP, he informed me that the deliveries would only start by late August at best. His speculation is that the production at the Chakan plant is affected by the strike. Maybe thats why the reviews have been put on hold, so that it would be revealed closer to the delivery dates.

Good God! It's by design, it doesn't have a dent because they found it out when they were fitting it together.. it is by design from the very first stage of planning. No question of lower qualityOriginally posted by Syed Zakir Ahamed View PostDent on the Silencer to fit it in the frame. lol... This brings a big Question for the Quality Check in India by KTM.

Maybe the wire is linked to a hydraulic arm? No?Originally posted by AmitRavi07 View PostIn the spec sheet mentioned on KTM site it says that the clutch is hydraulically operated, but as mentioned in a previous post the I could see the cable for clutch. Can anyone confirm if it has cable wire clutch or not.
Altering the standard design to make a new standard design does not equal to QC issue. :|Originally posted by Syed Zakir Ahamed View Post@Cyrus_the_virus, If you look at the Tube closely, it's the same used for D200. Need to wait five more days for the test ride. That is what BTM KTM told me. No idea why. They already have the bike with them.
Beginning to lose interest now :-(
Anybody in Bengaluru has taken a test ride yet?A lone amateur built the ark. A large group of professionals built the Titanic...

Nope, it is not the same. The 390's silencer pipe is bigger in diameter.Originally posted by Syed Zakir Ahamed View Post@Cyrus_the_virus, If you look at the Tube closely, it's the same used for D200. It has not been manufactured with the dent to fit. It's been altered to do so.
As for the clutch cable query, here is a pic -
It is NOT hydraulic.Your biking tells a lot about the person you are!

The below quote should answer your question. The point is, they did NOT figure out that they have to alter the exhaust pipe when they were fitting the engine into the frame. It was a no brainer that the pipe has to be desinged from the very beginneing that way to fit into the frame. Just to clear the air, it's not a dent. It's by design. No one says that an exhaust has to be perfectly round else there is a quality issue!Originally posted by Syed Zakir Ahamed View Post@Cyrus_the_virus, If you look at the Tube closely, it's the same used for D200.
