  • Yamaha Reveals New Parallel Twin Engine In Tokyo: xBhp News

Yamaha has added another engine to the 'crossplane' technology derived engines. This time it is a parallel twin.

The engine is not a true to its name crossplane, but rather a R1 derived engine. Speculation is rife as to the capacity of the engine, with numbers swinging between 565 to 903 cc! Either ways, expect a very potent and powerful twin cylinder, which should not cost a bomb either.

I wonder what kind of bike will Yamaha finally put this twin cylinder into...
Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!

I don't think it'd be a 400cc bike bro as quoted above, it's between 565 to 903 cc, may be a R6 or another in the fz series with this twin engine. . .

              Cheers!!!

This is what we need... Guess Yamaha RnD was working very hard behind the screens to bring different configuration engines back to back .... It is a good sign and keep this going... May be a competitor to Honda parallel twins

Well i still doubt it to be a R25 or any other quarter litre bike from Yamaha segment, as it can be easily seen it has many distinguishing style difference from its superior designs especially the tail, the head lamps and tank.
Also it is been announced that R25 will be launched first in South East Asia especially in Thailand and Singapore first in late Nov'13, so this has no similarity with the news part too.
Moreover it has been confirmed that it would be similar in shape and design of that of R125(made especially for European market), and we can easily see the dash board is completely different from any of the Yamaha prototypes, the tail is different from R125, tank design resembles those of a Honda and even the graphics is somewhat different from the usual style of Yamaha bikes.
All though there have been instances where multiple copies of world brands have come from China and recent news of ZJMM R12 which was the exact copy of CBR250R is the latest example.

AND THIS IS NOT R250 IT IS CHINA MADE XGJ250-21 250cc RACING MOTORCYCLE LAUNCHED LAST YEAR
