Chicane: The Bajaj finance company is called Bajaj Auto finance Ltd., and i should make it very clear that this company might only fund Bajaj Vehicles but they are as strict in passing the credit as any other bank, no privileges like small down payment as you mentioned.

And the ratio of cash/finance purchase is almost same for most of the maufacturers.

And Pulsar Mania ad didnt featured any P200.

And once in a while sombody up the ante, re write the rules and take the game to another level, and here bajaj is doing so.

I fail to understand Bajaj's strategy in putting a five speeder in the XCD Sprint even though it's only 10.5bhp. Sure it means better cruisability but only till the time when you run out of power.
The Discover, with it's proven calibre and performance has only 4 gears despite pumping out 13bhp. Why Bajaj, why? Is it because the Discover with 5 gears would have given the P150 a run for its money? I wouldn't doubt it.
In my opinion, they have crippled both the products. What they should have done..........ahh hell......nobody from Bajaj ever gives a damn.

The Sprint that seems to come donest have the all concepts
            .........

            Different engine with 4 valves
But only 10.5bhp power of the same of an 125cc- not the faster
But a stylish contender and will cross Stunner and flame in its category....

So the New mantra in Indian Biking world is Looks with Mileage...............

THe Economy has affected the Two wheeler world heavily so --- manufacturers are looking for lower cc engine - to look as super bikes ---- and to give more mileage.........

Coz they know what the customers want........ and over 65% of our people wants only this..............

I am only saying what i have learnt.Visit any small town/rural market and you will have bigger picture.

The company has offered financing its 125 cc XCD motorcycle at an interest rate of 5.25 per cent for a three-year tenure. This, at a time when the average loan rates for two-wheeler financing is hovering around the 13 per cent mark.

"This is a limited period offer and we are financing through Bajaj Auto Finance," Amit Nandi, general manager-marketing, Bajaj Auto, said.
Bajaj cuts rates for XCD bikes

BAJAJ bikes have always been selling well because of the competitive interest rates provided by it's sister company.Visit any BAL showroom at any point of time in a year and you will be greeted with special offers. And currently they are not able to continue in the same manner so they are facing the heat in the form of dip in sales!!

Following link does have some points what i am trying to imply.

              Bajaj Auto: Not speeding up

And yeah in the pulsarmania AD they had the P220 and P180, not P200!!

                    I know:
Bajaj brings in Ninja 250...it has engine over 150cc
KTM bikes...well everything is above 150cc
                    Discover 150.......it is 150cc,but not a Pulsar150 DTSi
So whats new is there in this revealing thread???????

Focus is on high capacity segments........p220 and p200 upgrades!!! again nothing new!!!

Same old failed 125cc projects.Nothing relives Discover 125cc from Bajaj stables.

Long live the Definitely Male Pulsar150 DTSi.This bike should not be phased out but tweaked for a more sporty 150cc.

A friend of mine has convinced his father for the ninja 250. And that is a huge achievement, considering his father's strong mindset about HH Splendour. Obviously, he is not that passionate about biking and it is just a means of travelling from place A to B.

Point here is, unless the 250 comes soon, his dad will, I repeat will come home from work with a super splendour and my friend will be doomed for atleast 4-5 years. So if anyone has any scoop, inside information, plz just tell me approximately when is the bike launching. Will help us a lot....
                            You get the point?? :D

the ninja won't be launching now for sure. probably after 2-3 months. even i have been waiting for it since the past 2 months. As i had mentioned in one of my posts earlier, the RM Sales, North from Bajaj told me that it would probably make it by march-april or so. And he also was not 100% sure.

by the way, it's 21st Jan today, there's no news of the Bajaj XCD 135 whatever!!!! Anybody else got some news about it??

                                XCD 135 launched!!

Guys I found some info on XCD 135 from indiabike.blogspot.com:

Bajaj Auto Ltd. launched the all new sports commuter motorcycle, the Bajaj XCD 135 DTS-Si. Though meant for regular use this bike will be sporty both in its performance and in its styling. Inspired from the Bajaj Pulsar DTS-i, it looks and drives like a Pulsar-Junior.

Aimed at the customers in the value segment looking for a sporty alternative, it will have many first-in-class features like a 135cc DTS-Si engine, a 5 speed gear box, auto choke, gas filled Nitrox absorbers, digital speedometer and LED tail lamps. Other significant features include electric-start and front disc-brake.

With its 10.5 bhp engine, sporty styling, long feature-list and a price of approximately Rs. 45000 ex-showroom it will be a very compelling alternative to all lesser performing and conservatively styled 100cc motorcycles in the value segment.

Speaking on the launch Mr. S.Sridhar, CEO 2-Wheelers, Bajaj Auto said," This bike is the first of our three launches in the value segment. We already have a very strong position in the entry and the premium segment of the motorcycle market, and now we will have an extremely strong line-up in the value segment as well."

The Bajaj XCD 135 DTS-Si will be manufactured in Waluj. There are 5 colors and decal option available which the consumer can choose from.
