    Mr. Pawan Munjal is in a delusion. Little does he know that people are into a paradigm shift about bikes. That adding a fairing and garish decals is no tech advance. Only giving a 5years warranty aint gonna intrigue the enthusiast

      I dont think Hero's 150cc bikes have failed, they sell pretty well (Xtreme especially) and almost on par of Unicorn. I owned Xtreme twice

          It's now time for Indian companies to wake up, pull their socks and ready for competitions..

          no more license raaj, Hero should have been realized this long back before honda take divorce. as government is opening entry for foreign company through FDI to setup their venture here..

          In this scenario why any foreign company will make joint venture with indian company when they can setup their own company. Hero should have started long back but "JAB JAGO TAB SABERA"

          It is alarm for all indian companies those who have tieup with foreign company to setup their own R&D centre and developed a product which will cater needs of local people.

          local solution to local problem.. and keep your cost down and make a competition to Global Market not only India..

            Good answer. Honda was taking tax on each bike. Moreover not only Hero but honda was also getting benefit as not only it was getting money but also publicity by hero.
            And regarding failure then extreme and Hunk sells in huge numbers and are having better performance than unicorn. Extreme and hunk combined sells more than unicorn. From where the news is there they failed. Man now new extreme is seen in almost regular intervals on road.

                In premium category, Bajaj is going to literally bulldoze any competition with it's RC/Duke/Pulsar series of bikes. But I doubt they will become no. 1, reason being they are absent in scooters segment which is a significant part of our market.

                    I think Honda can do it. It's trying real hard by bringing up better bikes and scooters in all segments. Most importantly, it's coming up with fresh and new models. On the other hand, Hero's getting old, its styling has been not updated since long. Unless Hero comes up with newer and fresher models, it'll succumb to Honda's dynamism.

                    All the best Honda.. even if u don't make it to No. 1, atleast you can bring in a change to Hero's (now)monotonous bike range.
