I think its is possible for them to bring it via the CKD route like the Ninja 650 via Thialand. Though I am not sure if the ZX6R is manufactured in Thailand. If not then, it would be costly proposition for them as they will not be able to price it competitively and thus will be hovering very close to the litre class bikes.

FYI. These bikes aren't coming through Bajaj. So no servicing at Bajaj service centers. This is a separate tie-up.

re: Kawasaki Superbikes in India!: xBhp News

So finally it is happening. I have been hearing rumors & crazy stories since years now, about Kawasaki guys trying to get ZX 10R here. Never heard of 14R's Indian entry though, so that's news.

Well, most 600-Supersports are already 80-90% the price of their 1000cc counterparts, due to the R&D and constant innovation involved in these segments. Those waiting for a 6xx Supersport can wait for Daytona, which could potentially be priced lower than the CBU range for Supersports. And with a bigger capacity engine, it seems slightly better.

One big change from this ZX10R launch would be access to serious performance at not-that-luxury price, as Ducati would charge for a 1199. Although, this point is questionable with both bikes having different gadgetry, technology levels, design, etc. Still, ZX 10R will appear as a close alternative.
Otherwise, litre class CBU's have been here for quite a time now. Anyways, wishing all the best to the baddest of the Ninjas!

The first 2013 ZX10R in India will be delivered in Pune on 28th August 2013. It will be around Rs.16~17 lakhs on-road Pune. The dealer for ZX10R and ZX14R is in Pune only.

If i get access to the launch, i will post some pics. Don't know if XBHP is invited or not?

ZX10R was the only Jap litre missing from the Indian lineup. Now that too is here. Haya will have some competition from 14R..

This is great news. But I really wish that India drops its homologation policies so that Kawi could bring in ZX6R. But this a great news for potential litre class buyers. The ZX10R is quite a monster.
