    Yamaha YZF-R1 and YZF-R6 2014 Race Blu Launched: xBhp News

    Love it or hate it, Yamaha’s “Race Blu” livery is back for a bevy for Yamaha’s 2014 models, including the 2014 Yamaha YZF-R1 and 2014 Yamaha YZF-R6. Debuting in Silverstone during the British GP, the special livery is supposedly based off the colors that the factory Yamaha Racing team uses in MotoGP, except for the minor detail that the special color scheme really looks nothing like the livery currently found on Lorenzo or Rossi’s Yamaha YZR-M1 race bikes (expect a livery change in Misano, perhaps?).

      The color scheme looks absolutely sick, IMO. Blue strip on the rims is a nice touch as well.

          @R-series they look damn good and I strongly think that in the nearby future, Yamaha are going to have these colours for the present R15, Fz and Fazer. . . What say, may be another of their strategies to boost their sales a little bit. . .

            There are a few things about this design scheme that I would absolutely die to have on my bike. The colored front forks, colored alloys, colored engine head and the matt black body panels. For me that is comparable to a Lamborghini Aventador.
            I would love to see an R15 is similar matt black color scheme with blue accents. I would even by the R15 again for this same reason. Heck I even love the Repsol scheme but personally I don't like the design of the CBR250R or else I would have bought it.
            Just because you haven't seen it doesnt mean its impossible...expect the unexpected.

                Well I had the R15 previously (2008, when Rossi won another championship) and since then I've been in love with sports bikes. I've been following MotoGP for over a decade now, so the Repsol color is legendary for me. I would force anyone of my known to buy a Repsol edition but the CBR to me is more of a tourer. Would have loved to see it's design closer to the CBR1000RR which in turn is based on the RC213V from MotoGP. So you see where I'm coming from. MotoGP and WSBK is life for me. There's a saying- "win on Sunday, sell on Monday". That is my case

                  I do am an your kinda, wanna race and WSBK is my destination on a CBR600RR. . . I do agree it sure is a kinda sports tourer instead of a track machine. . .

                    Damm!!!! those Yamaha people have done the job very well with color scheme, both looking superb and yes, R6 is looking killer.....

                        For now, it(3 cylinder) is only available on the MT-09. I don't know why they didn't use similar color scheme on the MT series. Don't have any updates on upcoming models with same engine layout.
                        From the beginning Yamaha have treated the FZ and R series in 1 category, as far as color schemes are concerned. There have been instances when the R-series has had exclusive attention, like when the Race replica models came out for R6,R1 and the R125.
