Re: LIVE UPDATES: kawasaki Ninja ZX10r and ZX14R launch

killer pricing of these killer machines..rumors were that ZX-10R could get the price tag around 20L but at this price point, its gonna be really hard for bikes like R1,GSXR1000,CBR1000RR n all to beat this package.

edit - Kawasaki India website saying that zx10r will get launched on 7th of September

According to an earlier interview..these bikes will be available as of now only at Kawasaki's exclusive Pune showroom & not at any PBK showroom..Later Kawasaki is planning to expand their network.

How come they have the Z800 on the home page, is that lined up for launch as well?
And it says The Versys 1000 tourer will be on display at pune showroom in 1st half of 2014 and the ER6n in the 2nd half.

another thing I found, on the Z special website, it only has the Z250 pics and features. I'm sure it might be proposed for launch.

This is just fantastic news for those who are dreaming to get a ZX10 in the future. The pricing also seems to be quite competitive. Hats off to Kawasaki for bringing these machines here. I'm sure that we would see quite a lot of green on the roads soon.

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
                    The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

                    THE END

                          rofl@ two kidneys.
Great news indeed, hope they do well here in India. For most of us it'll always remain a dream to ride one of these. :/

they'll be cheaper but not by far, also if it's a CBU then hardly much difference. but a 600cc supersport would be less intimidating than these top of the class machines and make more sense to me, might even give noticeably better FE. Yes FE, it always matters to some extent. I think Triumph Triple & Daytona series is gonna be CKU, their prices should definitely be around 10lakhs or less. & still provide the amazing riding experience of a supersport we all dream of. and the sound of a Triple cylinder engine !
Can somoene confirm this btw, I never asked this on xBhp. A guy from USA on youtube claiming to be a professor in Economics told me, that 600cc is actually banned in India, been banned for years and hence we don't see any official launches of 600cc class bikes (only imports are seen on the road), this move is intended to protect the domestic market. Is this information true ?

Just wanted to comment on this part. Super Sports like R6, CBR600, GSXR600 and ZX6R (now 636) give mileage of around 42-23mpg, that's around 17-18kmpl. The Liter class bikes like R1, CBR1000RR, etc give around 32-33mpg, that's around 14-15kmpl. If that's the FE difference you looking for then your on the right track or else super sport/super bike engines are pushed a lot to generate so much power. It's very difficult to manage a good FE out of these. A CBR600 engine would have similar engineering behind it as a CBR1000 engine (more or less). Its just a size difference that would really matter.
Even the street bikes like Ducati 696 give around 50 or less mpg. That would sum around 21 kmpl.
Just because you haven't seen it doesnt mean its impossible...expect the unexpected.

I must say very competitively priced as the speculation prices very high the announced prices the speculated prices very 18 lacs for zx10r and 20 lacs for zx14r, 15.7L and 16.9L seems very impressive Bajaj sure is looking forward for a big piece of superbike sale cake

When did I say going for a 600cc sounds like a good deal only because it gives few Kms more with 1 liter of petrol than a liter class bike. I only said it's just one of the very small benefits of owning a 600cc instead of a 999cc one, along with several other positives. Hence, a more sensible choice because you still have enormous power to play with and the sound of an inline-4, A notiecably better FE is always good thing to have isn't. Predictably if one's pushing either of these bikes to their 250kmph+ limit, which is almost impractical in India.. Both class will give about the same mileage I guess.
