Re: LIVE UPDATES: kawasaki Ninja ZX10r and ZX14R launch
This news is seriously awesome and I am awestruck by looking at the beauty of the bikes. Cheers Bajaj Auto and Kawasaki. They have revolutionized the Indian two wheeler market. The bike enthusiasts now have a plethora of bikes to choose under one roof.

Yeah !!! One thing I do agree that Beamer is a light weight machine wherein a ZZR14 is a Hyperbike which can provide an mass 210 bhp. I hope you already gone through this which add some sour to this topic

The BMW S1000RR HP4 and the ZX14R are in no comparison. If there is a drag, the ZX14R is a winner. But it can't go around the track like the BMW HP4 can. I don't see the reason for comaprison.

Re: LIVE UPDATES: kawasaki Ninja ZX10r and ZX14R launch
Dunno why but I personally feel they also need to release the Ninja 1000 (Sports Tourer) and all its fellow series (N,Z,T,W X Y and Z ) in India soon...

Re: LIVE UPDATES: kawasaki Ninja ZX10r and ZX14R launch
650R is a sport tourer and is a lot more forgiving vehicle producing sub 100 horses. ZX10R is a full blown liter class supersport producing 200+BHP with ram air. You should respect the machine or you'll end up badly. However, adjustable power modes, traction control and ABS have made the bike a bit more forgiving. Riding position wise, ZX10R is more demanding being a supersport.Originally posted by RonnieB View Post650R vs ZX10R riding ease comparison anyone?

Is the ZX10R a good buy for somebody who has never ridden anything above 500cc?Originally posted by pcgamer View Post650R is a sport tourer and is a lot more forgiving vehicle producing sub 100 horses. Re: LIVE UPDATES: kawasaki Ninja ZX10r and ZX14R launch
Not recommended according to certain reviews. If you have the bank balance, go for the Beemer or else the Ceeber and take things slow. Either way, this is subjective and depends a lot on the rider. These machines are not to be messed with.Originally posted by RonnieB View PostIs the ZX10R a good buy for somebody who has never ridden anything above 500cc?BENEATH THE REMAINS.........

Re: LIVE UPDATES: kawasaki Ninja ZX10r and ZX14R launch
Little OT : I know quite some people who would be interested in 'go anywhere' bikes like KLR 650 or even Versys . In Indian context they would be more apt & enjoyable.
This market of 600 cc -800cc 'go any-wheres' are largely untapped by the Japanese whereas the Europeans have shown there presence with the costly but efficient BMW and now the even costlier Triumph Tiger ( not considering Ducati).
Frankly I cannot afford these bikes and even if I could, I would not buy them ever rather I would like to retire with one of these kinds.

Re: LIVE UPDATES: kawasaki Ninja ZX10r and ZX14R launch
yesterday visited the kawasaki wakdewadi showroom in pune. They had a z800,ninja zx14R and ninja zx1000r including the 300 for display.
It has been understood that the z1000 will definitely launch next month in jan with the price hovering around 12-13/14Lac territory(!!)proper CBU import.
These guys strictly refuse to entertain ANY test ride requests even if youre buying, which is a bit strange.
zx10R comes with an adaptive ohlins steering damper and looks the part.(kept staring at it for like 15 minutes) :P
the damping ratio varies according to the speed and hence differs from a conventional mechanical damper.Same goes with K-abs where they have a different
technical jargon specially designed by kawasaki.
ZX14R was, epic.its more like a baby elephant with the kind of size it carries..
whereas mortal folks like us can dream of a ninja300 at max

Kinda partial to the Ninjas. Really liked the ZX6R and the 300.Originally posted by chaosaddict View PostNot recommended according to certain reviews. Re: LIVE UPDATES: kawasaki Ninja ZX10r and ZX14R launch
Depends on you really. If you are the kind of person who rides the bike within his skill level range, then you can get it. However, if money is not a constraint, get yourself a Daytona 675R, learn and understand what supersports are, and then graduate to liter class.Originally posted by RonnieB View PostIs the ZX10R a good buy for somebody who has never ridden anything above 500cc?
BTW, all these are what I've read and heard from owners and experts. I have zero first hand experience with superbikes
