re: MS Dhoni Restores his Yamaha Rajdoot: xBhp News

Maintaining any 2-stroke comes with those headaches. Money isnt really an issue if you are smart. I see prople spending 10s of thousands on puny 4-stroke bikes, in that kind of money you could easily restore an rd properly. Cantacts you make as you go. As far as spares are concerned you get plenty of aftermarket good quality spares. Actually its easy to find rd spares than other 2t bikes barring the rx ofcourse. Once set up properly an rd would last a life time. Yes, you need to learn a few things. But learning is never bad, is it?

There are quite a few in Bangalore, and 90% of them are in excellent condition.

Biking is not about how many Km/h you put on your Speedo. It's about how many miles you put on your Odo. Ride Safe, Ride Long!

True. My boss comes on one (whenever he doesn't come by car). He's not an enthusiast though, his SIL maintains the bike.

Even today people will still love to keep this bike only if it gets restored without pain!!

I don't see anything spectacular going with this news. We have 18 year old dismantling bikes and reassembling. But good for him, at least he'd like to see the mechanic side of him work on bikes, everyone does right.

              Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
              The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

              THE END

The funny part is, he hasnt even touched a screwdriver while the bike was dismantled. It was a publicity stunt.

This thread is 5 months old now. So what happened to the restoration? Have the parts made it back to the bike successfully or are they still lying around, rusting?

I think he cancelled this plan as he was unable to put it back together. I read it somewhere I guess. Not sure though.

Many of us co-riders here have opened up and restored their bikes and why nobody's name has come in news . . .

If a common does something extraordinary that's nothing and if an celebrity does a small thing, that's something huge for the whole world bwwaahhhhhh, Grow Up. . . Seriously, I don't consider this as a news, may be if it's some of our Xbhpians, then it would had been something to comment about. . .

                      Cheers!!!

It is a high budget, ambitious cafe racer build. He wants near 50hp out of it. Its still under construction i guess.
