The New 2014 version of the Triumph Speed Triple R gets a red radiator cover and wheels with red pin striping. In addition there is the colour matched fly screen, belly pan and seat cowl. ABS now comes as standard with the bike, earlier it was optional.

The new model will cost less, as the wheels will be the same as the standard model, unlike earlier where the wheels were forged aluminium wheels.

Triumph is due to launch its bikes in India in November and produce a smaller capacity bike in its Bangalore plant in 2015.

Bangalore plant???!!!! Are they already setting it up?

Triumph's entry into the Indian market: That just is music to my ears. Feverishly excited about 2014 .... My time for an upgrade ... finally we Indians get some legitimate middleweight choices, gunning for a Daytona 675, Triumph Tiger or the Speed Triple (cant wait to go test them out by next year).

      Cheers.

Now if they could make ABS standard and reduce the prices of the Street Triple as well, that would be awesome!

Anybody have any information about their accessories range for the bike?

            Interested in their adjustable windshield...

not really a fan of those new outlandish eyes...the old, twin round eyes looked so much better!

Biking is not about how many Km/h you put on your Speedo. It's about how many miles you put on your Odo. Ride Safe, Ride Long!

Oh the Daytona gives me the goosebumps man. I'm sure to also install the 'quickshifter' on it. The machine being 3 cyl and highly engineered by Triumph can do a 1000rpm more to the redline and is bound to have better midrange torque than their Japanese counters I guess. Being lightweight and ultra thin maybe to the determent of foreign folk but that's going to prove smack on in the Indian scenario... who doesn't like being nimble with a sports in India? I like the Daytona so much that i'd give up a litre class for it. Issue i'd face with the Speed triple is FE and tank capacity I think...

Erm, if my memory serves me right, Daytona's redline is 14.5k and the Japanese 600cc inline-4 class redlines at 16k.

I stand corrected. What I meant was 1000k more rpm than its previous versions (which I know is due to a better/lighter alloy used for their core engine parts) and more midrange torque than the Jap counter bikes.
