Honda has revealed the latest iteration of the CBR 250, just a few days after the CBR 300 was unveiled in China. Some markets, will continue to get the CBR 250, while other markets will get the CBR 300. It is not yet known, which markets will get what.

In November at the Tokyo Motor Show the New CBR 250 will be showcased along with a multitude of other motorcycles. The other motorcycles that we know Honda will be unveiling are - CB1300, CB 400, and the Dunk. Though these motorcycles and scooter might be first shown at Milan at the EICMA.

Full details of the CBR 250 will be got only after it is unveiled at the EICMA or Tokyo Motor Show. The place of unveiling will also tell a lot whether this is supposed to be a Japan only or a global model. Either ways, this looks like Honda is trying its best to break the Ninja 250/ 300, which ruled the quarter litre segment for a long time.

What major change I can see is exhaust and tank side flaps or what ever it can be called, But honda is moving very fast, the one thing which will matter is to see what changes honda will bring in new 2014 CBR....

I have a bad feeling that India will get the 250 while other countries will get the 300

Wait a sec, another CBR250R, hope this will be a proper sports bike rather than a sports-tourer and I believe Honda should concentrate more on CBR150R and bring on the changes that it needs to boost the sales of CBR150R as I rarely see 150R's on the roads . . .

          Cheers!!!

In Mumbai, I see quite a lot of Cbr150s, although, R15 is a little bit more common, if you include v1 too, v2 is more or less equal to Cbr150. Duke is even more common though.

I will be disappointed if they bring out an improved 150 at the same cost, I got one 18 days ago! >

I think India is getting 250 only, or maybe both, let's see. I think they might be upgrading 250 a bit to make it more competitive to RC200 and Pulsar375, if you look at the viewpoint of Indian market.

Seriously confused now! What is up with Honda? Why is trying to absolutely flood the marketplace with models like there is no tomorrow?!

What major differences could you guys spot b/w the 250 and 300?
The only difference I could make out was the Exhaust pile crease on the 300R.

Another major change is, the head light housing is twin compartment now as opposed to single housing in current CBR250.

I think they could have done better cosmetically on the tail, it looks gorgeous frm the front but plain red at the rear looks boring.

I think CBR300 will be for the markets which got Ninja 300 and 250 will be for those which got N250 in 2013.

Bring 250R and then 400R. this should be the best move by Honda.
Bringing 300 will leave little scope for 400R, and they would have to bring 500R, which might cost way too much and will result in poor sales.

its all confusion now.. CBR 250, 300, 400, 500If honda has any plans to launch either CBR400 or 500 in india, then it will be either 250 & 400 or 300 & 500..and if they dont want to launch any other bike in near future then it should be 300, however for 300 they have to do some changes in production, which they anyway have to do even for the new 250, so it might well be 300 now and 500 in future.even 250 and 500 makes sense...... lets wait and watch.

I think Honda India will go with option of CBR250R, reason behind that is Indian Market is a core price centric market. By which companies are pricing their products very competitively (like in the case KTM's product). And they (Honda) is already doing good in the quarter ltr segment section, solely due to its pricing I guess.

Launching CBR300R in India, will definitely kick some serious price hike, as India is noting having facilities to manufacture 300cc block engine. Rest the body is same and I guess the chassis is also being shared from 250R.

So, launching CBR300R in India may not give them to generate the revenues for the Honda India as it is being generated by the CBR250R.

It atleast looks better so I guess for the laymen it is still a choice. But I would hope for the 300 to launch in India, if not something better!
