It is such an eventful month for the entire auto industry. Hero Motocorp set a new world record for their amazing sales of more than 6.25 Lac two wheelers the last month. That comes to approximately 20,000 vehicles daily. This is a news of celebratory nature for every Indian, because this is a world record, and no one has yet touched the 6 Lac/ month mark even once.
On the other hand, Hero's ex, HMSI also had a good growth to post, more than 50% growth. TVS managed to post a positive growth, although their scooters went downward, despite the recent release of TVS Jupiter. Could this be due to Activa i's recent release? Maybe, who knows.
Yamaha also has nothing much to worry. With no major releases this year, they still are doing well.
Bajaj is the only company again, to post negative growth. With the strike behind them now, one can only wonder what's the reason for negative sales, almost throughout the year. Although with Discover M's already in the showroom, they're at least prepared for November sales. Let's hope it will go better this time.
Mostly, every company has posted a positive growth figure, putting the industry in a good festive mindframe. Its nice to see the industry recovering. Expensive fuel, expensive automobile loans, more releases, etc. may also have resulted in 2 wheeler segment enjoying more than their 4 Wheeler counterpart, despite the fact that 2 wheeler makers have increased the prices multiple times during the year. Let's hope November also posts a similar picture...
