And then you also have the multistrada to kill multiple genres and make people change the genre they were looking at !
Ducati looks serious this time !

The last line in the image says 'expected date of delivery ...' Is that mentioned as well ?

This is an pic of a computer screen which contained an excel attachment what was sent by the company to the dealers. So needless to say, it has all the necessary details.

Re: Ducati India to restart operations from March 18

There are many questions in everyone's mind right now when it comes to Ducati India. Let's rewind a bit, they had their tie up with Precision Motors and it ended up being a sour experience for Ducati as a company itself and a nightmare for customers as well. Now, under Audi portfolio they are starting their 2nd innings in India.

I know for a fact there is a showroom opening in Bandra and also heard about a showroom opening in Gurgaon. So good, there are dealerships getting ready and few more dealerships will come eventually. For servicing, in Worli, Mumbai there is an authorized service center getting ready. So by all means things are shaping up in right direction for Ducati is what my heart says.

Coming to the pricing part now, boy when I received this image in whatsapp today my eyes lit up as one of the bikes (MTS 1200S) mentioned in the list is my dream bike. Ducati India has definitely taken the first step correct with some thoughtful pricing for Indian customers. However, I am not getting my expectations too high at this point because there is no concrete news yet on when is Ducati finally launching in India. Some sources say 18th March, some credible sources said they will come here by next month while some say by end of this year!

Now, if they actually end up launching the bikes as late as Q4 of 2015 then the pricing may change. Who Knows!! I remember what Triumph India did, said X pricing in Auto Expo 2012 and launched at Y pricing in 2014. Of course, with time the cost may increases and this story can be repeated with Ducati if the launch does not happen soon enough. Those mouth watering price list may change quite a bit, who knows!

With Gurgaon showroom almost operational, 18th March looks like THE official date. Dealers are not goona keep expensive showroom space empty till year end IMO.

Yeah, looks like at least a couple of dealerships will launch real quick to keep things moving. Some snaps came in yesterday on whatsapp which makes me believe the launch will happen soon.

Also, I am seeing a new building under construction/renovation just in front of the Chennai airport near the Bridge. Not sure if it is for the Ducati showroom.

Ducati will be soon re-entering the Indian two-wheeler market with almost its entire range of motorcycles from its international portfolio. It will setup its second dealership in the financial capital of India at Bandra

                  Hi,

Does anyone have news on the Bangalore dealership?

I currently ride the Bonneville but would love to own the Diavel if the above stated prices are correct.

The Monster 795 is effectively a 696 chassis powered by the 796 engine. So no single-sided swingarm and it also gets three-spoke wheels instead of the 796’s five-spoke hoops. The tires are also the lower spec Pirelli Angel ST instead of the Diablo Rosso. The 795 will benefit from the extra seven claimed horsepower from the 803cc air-cooled L-Twin pulled from the 796 (the 696 sports its namesake 696cc displacement).

The bigger news, which isnt found on thewww.monster.ducati.com announcement, is where this new Monster will be built – or at least assembled. Late last year news leaked that Ducati would open an assembly plant in Thailand to circumvent high import duties.

Ducati states its Monster 795 will be available in Thailand, China, Inda, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Phillipines, Vietnam and Singapore.

I hope the pricing in Chennai is not very much adrift from the ones mentioned in Delhi...If priced good, I ll have to rethink of my decision made :P
