Indian Motorcycles is expected to be launched in India on the 22nd of January in Delhi. The iconic brand is owned and being brought into the country by Polaris.
Polaris had earlier planned to bring in their other cruiser brand of motorcycles in India, the Victory Line of Cruisers. Polaris was also in talks with Eicher Motors (owners of Royal Enfield) for bringing in their two wheelers in India.
Indian Motorcycles is a top of the line product, with its range starting from 22 lakhs. This will be taking on the top end Harley Davidsons. Polaris may subsequently launch the Victory Range of motorcycles.
Recently Indian Motorcycles launched a new Engine after 70 years, subsequent to their acquisition by Polaris. Polaris has been steadily trying to build up the brand, after purchasing Indian Motorcycles from an almost bankrupt state.
