The Royal Enfield Classic 500 Pegasus limited edition was recently launched in the UK at a price of GBP 4999 (approximately Rs. 4.5 lakhs) and days later, the company has launched the limited edition motorcycle in India too.

Royal Enfield has had a long-standing association not only with the British army but with the Indian armed forces as well. In fact, the UK-based bike maker initially came to supply motorcycles to the Indian army 63 years ago and eventually set-up its base in Madras (now Chennai), where it operates from even today.

As the implementation of a new technology increases, its manufacturing costs decrease. There was a time when fuel-injection was limited to very few vehicles aside from the very top tier of motorcycles and cars. But today, almost every single car you buy is fuel-injected and a lot of more affordable motorcycles are receiving the technology, too. With the advent of stricter emissions norms, almost all bikes are likely to have this feature within a couple of years.

Suzuki Motorcycle India flagged off the 'Helmet for Life' road safety campaign to encourage motorcycle riders to adopt the practice of wearing a helmet whenever they ride. The Japanese manufacturer has partnered with state traffic police departments for this initiative in a bid to curb the growing number of two-wheeler related injuries and fatalities in India. The campaign will begin in the Delhi-NCR region followed by Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Surat, Bangalore, Calicut, Chennai, Hyderabad, Lucknow and Kolkata.

2018 Honda Activa 125 Quietly Introduced In India; Priced From Rs 59,621
The Honda Activa has always been second to the top-selling Suzuki Access in the 125 cc scooter segment, and more recently also started facing competition from a slew of new launches in this space, including its sister model - Honda Grazia. However, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has not forgotten about its first 125 cc scooter yet, and has silently rolled out the updated Activa 125 in the market with a host of upgrades.

Anand Mahindra has steadily been drip feeding hints that the upcoming Jawas are under development and coming soon. His latest teaser was a tweet of a motivational meme with the photograph of a rider on an R1 in the rain and the caption, “Life is not about waiting for the storms to pass, it’s about learning to ride in the rain”. While the motorcycle or quote in particular have no real relevance, Mahindra’s accompanying caption in the tweet had more revealing words, “We all know about the advice to ‘Dance in the rain..’ But with Jawa’s imminent resurrection you can’t blame me for pushing this avatar of the quote.”
