"It's only common for motorcyclists to come together and go for a ride in the mornings during weekends. It is, in fact, a great way to get away from regular city traffic. However, the morning rides may now be a little difficult in Bengal region since West Bengal Police have begun a crackdown on motorcyclists, seizing some 40 bikes in one day. NH2 near Bardhaman, West Bengal, which is a regular hangout place for such groups, was skimmed for bikers speeding or racing. The motorcycles that have been seized include the likes of Kawasaki Ninja 650, Z250, Honda CBR250R and KTM RC390.

As part of the 2019 update, BMW will offer the G 310 R in a new shade of Racing Red. The G 310 R also gets a HP Motorsport paint finish (pearl white metallic with "HP" lettering), while Strato Blue Metallic has been discontinued. Cosmic Black One will probably be carried forward to the 2019 range of the G 310 R. This announcement comes just a few days before the G 310 R goes on sale in India on July 18, along with the G 310 GS. It’s likely that the bikes launched in India will be offered with the new colour options. Apart from the two new colour options, no changes have been made on the G 310 R.

Tronx Motors, a Smartron company, on Wednesday announced the launch of India’s first smart crossover electric bike, Tronx One.

The e-bike priced at Rs 49,999 on an introductory offer for limited units is open for pre-orders and will be available in two colors - magma red and pacific blue. Shipping will start on July 16 for the first batch of consumers who have pre-booked the bike.

Tronx Motors, a part of the Smartron Company, has launched what it calls the first smart crossover bike in India. It is called Tronx One and it has an introductory price of Rs 49,999 only for a limited number of units and pre-orders. The deliveries and the shipping of the bike will begin next week onward. The Tronx One has been designed and developed in India.

India Yamaha Motor has launched the Ray ZR Street Rally Edition in India at a price of ₹ 57,898 (Ex-showroom, Delhi). The scooter was first showcased at the 2018 Auto Expo and Yamaha says that the design has been inspired by other global models of Yamaha. The Ray ZR Street Rally edition is basically a decked up version of the standard Ray ZR, with a sporty demeanour and snazzy graphics. The front headlight apron now gets a 'wing-style' fairing which has been inspired from the Yamaha MT-09, giving the scooter a sporty stance.

BMW has finally launched the G310 R and G310 GS in India. While the streetfighter costs Rs 2.99 lakh, the adventure-touring motorcycle retails at Rs3.49 lakh. Both the prices mentioned are ex-showroom, Delhi.

Both bike are powered by a 313cc, single-cylinder engine that produces 34bhp and 27Nm. This unit is mated to a six-speed gearbox and final chain drive. The bikes sport a fully-digital instrument cluster that displays speed, odometer, tachometer, fuel gauge along with clock and gear position indicator.

44KV sticker shock-too much premium attached to just the BMW name is not going to cut it in the Indian market-just hope KTM does'nt go bonkers and increases their product pricing.

Mornings in Indian metros are chaotic to the point of being painful. Everyone is trying to get somewhere, and everyone is in a hurry.
It doesn’t help that most Indian cities are unplanned with narrow, potholed roads (which too are riddled with encroachments), ever-increasing wheels on the street, and burgeoning populations. Highway expansion, extension of metro lines and flyovers are doing little to help the situation.

Bajaj will introduce fully imported/ CBU models of Husqvarna brand, before they are locally produced.
Step-wise efforts to be made to localise these products after this launch.

Most probably, 2 products are in consideration, the Vitpilen 401 and Svartpilen 401...
