Sir jee how's that possible? Either more bhp or more kmpl. My vote for a 250cc FZ. If not, then a rebored 170cc block would be fine. Should produce 17+ horses.

Errr... why not add the kitchen sink too ... ok, seriously, an updated engine would have made it more substantial 'update'...

If you want both, they gotta follow Bajaj's footsteps , anyways looks to me like a reworked 170cc engine, . . Hope the main thing, the pricing is kept right, . .

            Cheers!!!

If there is an engine update Yamaha have to seriously keep a check on price or continue with the FZ-16 along with this one. There are many who want a sporty bike but an added prices tag may force them to look for other options.

Re: 2014 Yamaha FZ Caught Testing

finally yamaha is giving something to the fz rather than only the occasional shot of botox called graphics. but if you ask me,i will say that fz has lost the charm and looks of the current soon to be old current version which has till date its clean uncluttered pure muscular no nonsense lines it has which seem to be messed up in the new upcoming version.they should have only changed the headlamp design of the current fz to that of the upcoming version 2 and also should had only given minor touches like modifying the rear a bit more to the likes and lines of fz1/fz8 with the same traditional twin taillamp of the fz1 with numberplate holder being something in the lines of the r15 v2 & also with a wee bit longer exhaust design reminiscent to that of the units on f1/fz8 or maybe even to that of the one on the new kid on the block ie the fz09 is what yammie should have done to make it even more desirable rather than this after market type design job. now fz will loose the crown of being the beasty best looking 150cc machine in its class. i think the p150 ns or upcoming sub 200cc pulsar will steal the show for sure when it comes to looks.

this is very much possible if they turn to "tech"....atleast now we know that 4 stroke can make serious power and stay day long and match two strokes, all through modern day tech (viz...ypvs, yeis, dtsi etc....)...so bring it this side yamaha

Sure hope you are right. Halting my purchase plans since the 170 cc engine should cover the only concernt that I may have had for my first bike purchase that was supposed to be this month-end

Thanks, I read that too. Here's hoping its true

Hoping that the price stays 1lakh or lower on-road, although I fully expect it to shoot higher

Just wondering what benefit did Yamaha get by not disclosing the details of the bike in Expo if there's an upgrade in near future?
