As per my knowledge zigwheels is very reliable website.
If these are just cosmetic upgrades then it means yamaha will take minimum 6-10 months to launch proper upgraded(specification wise) models. As per showroom guys fuel Injected 6 geared Fz is under testing which will launch under FZ-S moniker whereas old fz will sell alongside as it is with FZ 16 brand name as a budget offering which means they will create price difference of 10000 (minimum) between both the bikes....
Wait what? A fuel injected FZ at a small premium of 10k? Since when did FI get so cheap?

IIRC, RTR160 FI was about 10K more expensive than the carbed version. So, I wouldn't be surprised if the same happens in case of FZ.

WOW!!! The red, white and black combo looks awesoooome.. I'm completely flattered with this color combination, This is the color combo that i personally love in any bike. Pst.. should have waited few months to buy my r15 in this red, white and black combo

I checked out the new colours at the dealer last weekend, the Red-Black combo looks smashing and so does the slightly changed Blue-White combo. The Black-Gold doesn't look anywhere close to how it looks in internet, its much duller and not so nice and the Black-grey is okish. There was a Metallic green and black combo too which he said was not new and that also was quite a looker but I simply cannot imagine a green Yamaha but this has the highest price.

Supplies seem to be good as he had already 3 of each and said I could get one in as short as 2-3 days if I booked.

Speculations can rest now. Too many sites(all of them) with false news.
Its just new colours for 2014 R15. And nothing else. Absolutely nothing.

The Racing blue, in the brochure looks great.

Not sure why these 2014 colours are being termed as "V3" n all. heights of joblessness?

these are not the upgraded bikes! give it a rest guys! i already saw few threads on this same topic, which wasn't really required.

recently met owner of one of the reputed yamaha dealer, he said that the upgraded versions of fz and r15 are coming in few weeks/months. these colour combos are not those upgrades.
when i asked him about "v3" , he said they are not renaming it as "v3" at all. it will have o2 sensors, remapped ecu and few minor changes to cope up with emission norms. SIMPLE AS THAT! no physical change, atleast not much.
i have no idea why all sites just copy past info form 1 place who claim that they know actual news whereas the say " we think" " it might" "it may" and other stuffs.

and please dont turn every thread into r25 thread. its getting sickening. really.

and also few people talk as if no other company does cosmetic upgrades. please grow up.

PS: neither i like so many "editions", personally. was very pisd when i saw many white n red LE. just learnt to live with it, because it looked good!!!

PPS: the management in YMI got changed aft few years of r15v1 launch. hence all this is happening. so yes they r to blame.

I rode one of the new models yesterday only as Yamaha Factory Shop, Pune got the stock and I tried one. It behaved just like normal V2. So new colours doesn't mean new version people. But yes the colours look good, specially I liked the Black-Golden and Red-White ones. Have got some aggresive styling in the graphics.

All companies does cosmetic updates. Atleast YMI does sell some real good engines with new colours unlike some others.

The management in YMI got changed within a year of R15V1 launch. It disrupted many things. Like no Yamaha Factory Shops at most cities except for Pune and Kolkata, whereas the earlier management planned for a total of 50 across India. No new models coming up for the last 6 years. So they are to be balmed for sure and should have been changed by now.

The black too is available(Invincible Black), but it's getting worse with each new launch.
