My forecast: This will be two R15 engines stick inline producing 34 BHP, and cost around 1.70ish.

If this is true and a real production R3 is going to be launched by Yamaha then that will be a killer for all in this segment. 300cc of sheer pleasure. And with 300cc I guess it will be a twin engine with around 40-42 ps power. Hope this comes true and we can surely say again proudly 'Yes! Yamaha'

just to caution everyone, it was reported last month by asphaltandrubber, cycleworld and other reputed moto websites that yamaha had applied for trademarking the "R3" name in only US and europe..which means, so far yamaha intends the R3 for US and europe while the twin R25 will be for india, japan and other asian countries, australia/NZ, south america, etc.

of course, that doesnt "guarantee" the R3 won't or will never be for india, but so far there's no reason to believe it will be for india immediately either..

Expecting a lunch of higher cc bikes in India is like waiting in railway platform... It comes so late that you get bored and it might also get cancelled any time :-(

i feel they are going to launch a scooter. if you look at the video you can find that the video starts with the image of a scooters engine. then they show a couple of snaps of a white scooter followed by a line drawing of a r series look alike bike.

Thats the tri city. They might launch more than 1 product. R25 - March 25.. The number 25 is Playing mind games
