Comparatively Rugged Hero Passion Pro TR launched
Hero MotoCorp has launched the Passion Pro TR in India at Rs 53,531 ex-Mumbai.
The Pro TR comes in only one variant and is approximately Rs 5,000 dearer than the Passion Pro in disc/self/cast trim.
Its the same 97.2cc Passion Pro engine, with a maximum 7.8PS/8.04Nm.
The Passion Pro TR offers an exciting off-pavement ride capacity with its host of new external features that includes on-off road tyres, sturdier handlebars with cross brace, high front fender + hugger front fender, headlight grill, hand guards for added protection, bash plate and fuel tank pads.
There is also a new knee pad attached to the fuel tank. The new twin front fenders required the number plate to be repositioned on the visor, just like some faired imported bikes.

The fuel tank capacity of the Passion Pro TR is 12.8 litre and with all the additions, the new motorcycle weighs in at 119kg. There are three colours on offer.
The previously launched Hero Impulse is also an off road bike, although it has a 150cc engine in a softer state of tune, than other 150cc offerings by Hero.
Xbhp notes that in the past, their best selling commuter bike Splendor got a Cafe Racer kind of treatment, but that was just displayed in the Auto Expo. That may probably be the next launch in line.
The company's noble intentions of making attractive concepts affordable to all is definitely appreciated. Purists and Biking Aficionados may not appreciate such treatment, but the common commuter just got a choice without losing anything else (ok, maybe a little extra money while purchasing such bikes).
And Choice is almost always good. From the days of color and cosmetic changes, this kind of treatment to Passion Pro is much useful and better. Hero is changing, and the previous signs of change (Hastur 620, etc.) have been much appreciated.
But one topic is heavily debatable. Are the above changes worth Rs. 5000 extra?

if that is the case, then I guess Delhites would crave for it 
especially during Monsoons.. Oh Wait.. no monsoons here yet this year
