IMO, Bajaj should restrict their Discover range to 3 Discover models only. 100,125 & 150(1 variant each). All of the models should've been good for the targeted buyers. But they are creating confusions by giving names like M,T,ST,4G,F,S etc. And also by discontinuing models after two-three years is not very welcome. The consumers today have a lot of options and at the same time, a lot more educated and specific about their requirements.

Re: Bajaj Discover 150 S Reaches Showrooms
Bajaj Discover 150-S Initial test ride report.
Likes:
- Good engine with 14.5 ps on tap.
- Five speed gear box is not bad comparing with other discovers. All up pattern.
- Wider front & rear tires gives better stability & braking.
Dis-likes:- No tachometer.
- No digital cockpit to differentiate other siblings.
Looks & Instrument cluster:
It's look almost like the 125st model. Only visual difference is 240mm disc unit with cover on it on 150-S. This 150-S carriers the same cockpit from 125 st with a single trip meter.
Engine & Gearbox:
Official spec is seen in couple of pages back. The engine is not a stressed unit. It's revs freely. I could not check the speedo because it was disconnected. The gear box is quite good comparing with 125st. Not cluncky or smooth, neutral one. Took both people on board & pulls cleanly. No jerks or no power drop or no lack of low end torque problem.
Overall it's a good engine to work out with.
Handling & Brakes:
This one does impressed me. Been a ex discover owner, the bike has better handling due to mono suspension & wider front & rear tires. The tires are mrf one. The braking comes with 240 mm petal front disc & 130 mm rear drum brake. The wheel base is same 1305 mm.
First Impression:
I love it
. Good engine & gearbox. Better handling & brakes. This is a package you should not miss.
Ps: This is from my POV.
Waiting for 150F to test-ride it
.

As both would be basically identical bikes, I don't expect it to be any different.. except maybe a few kgs heavier on paper.

This would be the second bike after 220f with faring. You know how 220f behave on cornersOriginally posted by payeng View PostAs both would be basically identical bikes, I don't expect it to be any different.. except maybe a few kgs heavier on paper.

That's not because of the fairing.. but more to do with the basic design of the bike and the chassis.Originally posted by MR ACE View PostThis would be the second bike after 220f with faring. You know how 220f behave on corners
.
Its (P220F) a bike that is based on a 13 old design.
The current Pulsar 150 and 180 aren't exactly benchmarks around corners as well.
