Yes this is specific to the local RTO, so the case is like the states like Maharashtra,Delhi,UP,Kerela who got deliveries their RTO gave the clearance without any issue.

KA government is taking hell lot of a time to do the same or who knows could be sheer politics between the dealers and the RTO.

Ok, today I heard that it could take even more time, might be this month end.

AFAIK,its the problem with Bangalore RTO , because of the over flooding registrations.

Same reason " Not getting RTO approval "....

We should ask them intersest for 2.43 lakhs for these 15 days.

Its not registrations, the bikes have not even reached that stage, registration process for Rc 390 will start post getting the approval.

Registration and approval both are two different things.

But who is to blame ? KTM To give a delivery date without even getting the RTO approval or RTO for delaying the approval for whatever reason?

As eliksir mentioned, they seemed to be worried more about charging fine for Non KA vehicles than doing anything. I heard about a case being filed against this, any valid sources for that news?

I only think the reason behind RTO delays is Diwali as they will have loads of work !!!!

there seems to be no other reason. this will not be the first bike for approval with them if I am not wrong.....

I need to check with the dealer in pune....I have not called him after booking my bike....Need to be constant touch or else he may feel i am sleeping Lol

Ya thats true, dont know whom to blame...

But what I feel is the scenario is not like a single guy is trying to get some approval for some personal vehicle, its the entire karnataka kTM delaers that need this approval so why arent they pushing it together and completing the negotiations, instead KTM guys are behaving like its government thing it will take time.

To me most probably the case is like RTO is expexting x amount and these guys are giving Y amount and no body is compromising otherwise if the entire karnataka KTM dealers need approval how difficult it should be to get when everyone needs it.

True that, that's what even I thought - how difficult can it get ?
But since we do know what is causing the delay and how valid the reason is, we can only speculate.

I think I should compile all of the experience on the bike and put a post in consolidated form.

With diwali around the corner I am a lot busy at home with all the cleansing of house and at office with work(as always) .

That is true guys.

What my dealer told me is that ,RC390 is not even in RTO's list of 2 wheelers. So the approval that we are talking about is the approval to get the bike listed in RTO'S 2-wheeler list.
Once that gets approved,Bike registration numbers could be forwarded to RTOs for approval.
