Re: Hero Xtreme Sports Launch soon!

IMO the first gen CBZ was the best one.
Still the ones presently available in the market looks better than the Xtreme Sports. Also, the keyhole positioning looks a bit odd to me.
A bike on the road is worth two in the shed.

I posted on behalf of people like me, coming from rural areas. They are not as highly informed as u. And I have seen how business goes on in seconds market in rural areas. And ya, as u said such people will be like tushaar kapoor in golmaal, honest, innocent and gullible.

Read a few of the post above your's and you'll see that you've not stepped on any toes. In fact that is the collective feeling from hero loyalists and others alike. Really hero should stop it with this jugaad upgrade bull crap and release their much awaited new bikes now.

I couldn't agree more with you. I know that I did not cross my limits, but a fellow xbhpian thought otherwise. And hence the clarification. Even I have the same grouse, come on Hero, u are capable of delivering much better products, throw us a few surprises.

Re: Hero Xtreme Sports Launch soon!

In commuter segment. What every manufacturer cares about most is F.E (the max. they can show on papers) & sales figure. That's it.

They don't care about anything else.

Looking at this bike, I feel they are mocking in the name of Xtreme series.

I feel MSIL in (four wheeler) & HMC ( in two wheeler) both are same.

Look What they did to Alto series. Now New Alto K-10 is worst so far, every time a new car is launched in series, they are making it worst. As if they are in competition, Who makes it the worst?

                Similarly here in Xtreme Series.

Whats new, it new fuzzing better Fuel Efficiency. How much improvement, its hardly 2-3 or taking 5kmpl more.

I mean by degrading quality What the heck we will do with extra 5kmpl.
Don't care about others, but I care for Quality not Quantity.

Don't know why you guys are bashing this version of xtreme. Infact current xtreme is good for nothing where as this one is getting 1bhp more but still people are bashing it. Believe it ir not but it is a better looking motorcycle than tha out going version (I am not comparing it with fz and gixxer ) which looks very odd from every angle except its tail. I have personally seen both the versions at auto expo. This xtreme deserves to be in market more than current version. Hero should have upgraded xtreme like this only rather than bringing that alienish current version but they think they can lure customers by selling two bike under same name with little difference in styling.

We are not bashing the brand or the bike. We are critisizing their copy paste policy.
Sure this new bike has a 1bhp bump but its still the age old cbz. Can't they change the design or make a different engine.
They did this with their flagship (cd100) near 30 years ago. They made clone after clone after clone. And they are still doing it. Many trust this brand (including me) and have high expectations from them but they have so far only shown talent in cloning. Like I said before, they need to stop this jugaad upgrade bullcrap and release their new fresh models instead.

True dat. At least there is an option for people now instead of the 'Xtremely' hideous 2014 facelifted version.

Just happened to see the Hero Xtreme launched this year which doesn't seem to have a chain guard!

Meanwhile, pics of the upcoming Xtreme sports seem to have a chain guard?

What is going on with Hero? Am I wrong to think sporty versions should not have chain guards and commuter versions should have one isn't it?

Lets remember one thing. Just because it says sporty doesn't mean it becomes sporty. It is still the same extreme with minor cosmetic changes. If the hx250 came with a chain guard or if the impulse did, I'd think the same as you. These bikes are not meant to have naked chains since you can't provide or service them on a budget.
