    Suzuki Gixxer Based Full Faired 150cc Bike Spotted [Scoop]


    You saw it first on MotorBeam. Our eagled eyed reader Atul has snapped the upcoming Suzuki Gixxer based full faired motorcycle on test in Delhi. Remember, we brought you the exclusive news of Suzuki working on a semi-faired version of the Gixxer HEREBajaj Pulsar and Yamaha FZ have long dominated. The test bike was being ridden along with the Gixxer as can be seen in the picture above. The cycle parts on the full faired Gixxer are very much similar to the naked version, notice the tank, exhaust, pegs, disc, wheels, tyres, seat and grab rails which are identical. What has changed is the front, the headlight and windshield give it a very Hayabusa like look. The mirrors are mounted on the fairing and the side fairing seems to be nicely integrated too.
    Powering the full faired Suzuki Gixxer will be the same 154.9cc, single-pot mill which churns out 14.8 PS of power and 14 Nm of torque. Suzuki could tweak the motor to be more punchy to take care of the added weight. Equipped with SEP, the sporty version of the Gixxer is expected to be as frugal as its street-fighter sibling. It will rub shoulders with the Yamaha Fazer and is expected to be priced at around Rs. 93,000/- (on-road, Mumbai). The launch is likely to happen by the middle of next year and we expect to see a rear disc as standard on this version of the Gixxer.

          When the heck will this launch? Its just a fairing job what else are the testing? Why not launch it by January so I can buy this instead of gixxer

          Also hope its possible to convert the gixxer into the fairing model unlike in fz to fazer

            Even the Handle Bar seems to be the same. Actually the Rear Split Handle is also the same, Just that it looks different due to the camouflage.
            So, this is going to be the CHEAPEST fully faired Bike beating the ZMR !!!!!

                Nope I think all they'll do is play with the sprocket to increase acceleration/speed.

                      It should not take much time to add fairing on the bike at this segment and I feel Suzuki didn't do proper marketing for Gixxer, I was expecting lot marketing for a ass saver product for any company

                          The pics posted by Nitesh show a different bike than the one in the OP.

                          The disc brake is on the right side (from Riders POV) on the faired Gixxer, however the one posted by Nitesh has it on the opposite side.

                          The bike in Nitesh's pic has air scoops on either side of the headlamp, while the faired Gixxer seems to have none (or maybe they are covered with tape as well?).

                          The faired Gixxer has it's turn signal's protruding from the fairing (conventional indicators), while the bike in Nithesh's pic has its indicators integrated in the fairing.

                          Lastly, the faired Gixxer has a straight handlebar, but the bike in Nitesh's pic has clip on handlebars.

                          This is what I observed. I could be wrong though.
