One question though, Wasnt Impulse developed with Honda tech tie-up. So, is hero bound to use the same tech as the original Impulse was developed along with Honda or is it going to be from scratch ?R15S - Current

Why hero is delaying HX
Every other Indian manufacturer is slower than any other brand. TVS, HERO, Mahindra no one is able to bring a 250 cc bike in many years. Only Bajaj have some potential.
Good news tough.

I guess it will be a completely new bike with new engines. Hero will use impulse branding just to relate it with previous model...sigpic

Let bajaj enjoy the monopoly for a while till HX250 comes or for the matter, till an Apache comes.Originally posted by itsmevini123 View PostWhy hero is delaying HX

Re: Hero is working on 200cc and 250cc Impulse
i feel bajaj is the only manufacturer (compared to the other long term players) who has taken the risk of bringing in powerful bikes over the years with decent quality and pricing..
Everybody else just wakes up from their sleep after ages and come out with something when all else is done by bajaj already..
I have nothing against Impulse / Hero but trying to understand how practical is a bike like Impulse for indian riders?... its an offroading bike and that is where it blooms.. hardly anyone does off roading on bikes in india.. (you may go for a long touring and hit some trails.. but then again the percentage of that as against riding on tarmac is like what.. 5%?)..
what am i missing here?Last edited by mindless_wanderer; 03-17-2015, 06:59 PM.

hero is the only one who wants to make people understand true definition of different segments or may be they feel Indian junta will get ready to enjoy bikes segment wise rather than bhp wise before bajaj thinksOriginally posted by mindless_wanderer View Posti feel bajaj is the only manufacturer (compared to the other long term players) who has taken the risk of bringing in powerful bikes over the years with decent quality and pricing..
