      Re: Bajaj Avenger Series Launched

      Now Bajaj have 4 150's
      1. P 150-Street
      2. D 150(F & S)-Street
      3. AS 150- Adventure?
      4. & Avenger 150-Cruiser.

Any more 150's to come from Bajaj? Only left is the motocross segment. Or they are plan to launch a 150cc motocross with collaboration with KTM to compete Hero Impulse?

Visually its better..But launching in 150cc version will result in loss of exclusivity. Anyways Engine was not upgraded,it seems that Bajaj will launch more powerful Fi equipped 6 geared Cruiser at a later stage.

            Re: Bajaj Avenger Series Launched

Although, I did expect one variant on the NS engine, but I was skeptical also, as it obviously will make it more expensive, for some more top end power that God only knows who will use regularly on a Cruiser.

The bikes are looking good, but it looks like they have added all the bling to 150-220cc Avenger, leaving very little for later (bigger) Avengers, if any.

Although I did expect one based on the 373.2cc engine, tuned for more low to mid range torque... That would've made sense, with enough power & fat 120-160 tyres, to pull it closer to larger machines in terms of looks, grip & performance. Even if the 390 engine gets detuned to 35 or 30 bhp in a tourer form, it would've done the job.

I'm not sure about the low end torque potential of the 200 and 390 engines though... even after little-moderate tuning, that is.

Instead of focusing on the Avenger150, Bajaj could have spent a little more effort on a higher capacity engine! The pillion seat and rear suspension in Avenger(older versions) looks nice but a pillion wold opine otherwise. Also let's hope the harshness in the engine has been reduced to some extent.

Today when I went to stick the number on my bike, I saw new avenger which someone bought. The owner said he fell for the looks. A little Harley look I guess.

                    Re: Bajaj Avenger Series Launched

Finally my bike is here. It was just today I received a call from my dealer that the bike will be on display at the dealership but on the 2 of October still one more day is there to see this bike in flesh.
More over I am going to book this bike street 200cc model. But just before doing this I was wanting to know one question which was just comming in my mind which was regarding the cruiser model is there by any chance can we fit the street alloys in the cruiser. If so why not buy that model. As that one gives the full feel of a cruiser well I have not seen street or the cruiser model other than here on site or on the Web. But this thing was just there if anyone out there can through some light on this would be really helpful as if once the booking will be made then I doubt if they will change it.

Also who all have done the bookings and by when they will be giving deliveries. As I was wanting to wait for 2 months as I won't be in town going for some official work hence planning to buy it next year. But the bookings would be there so that I am not left behind. Guys please stay the thread of this bike I am looking forward to see the thread come up.

Once the booking will be done shall let all my friends know about it.
Rest it's bajaj let's see by God's grace.

Good update to 220 Avenger though having a 150 model doesn't make much sense. This cruiser rides well for long rides and 220cc is quite good enough for touring.

One of the guy I know who bought Avenger 4 months back got a call from the same dealer about the arrival of new Avenger and was checking with him if he wanted to change.
When he inquired how much would his Avenger will get if he exchanged. After checking the sales girl called back saying they would give 45K (He bought it for around 95 I think),
not much to say he roasted the sales girl on phone...

                            Re: Bajaj Avenger Series Launched

I saw this bike today at my dealer honestly the bike looks stunning no words the Grint was also to good better than the previous bikes. I went with my friend who already had an avanger since 7 years. Even he would have gone for this but instead he has booked a classic 350.
Regarding this bike I could not get the test drive as it was a launch of this bike in my city. The cosy of the cruiser model is 98160 rs on road.
The handle bar is really comfortable as I was aloud to sit on the bike and feel it. The only thing which is missing is the foot pegs like we have seen on other cruisers. Even the gear leaver has been changed better from before. It had a nice digital meter very much visible in night I am sure about this. Moreover I have booked this cruiser model but I will take the delivery in January. Also the dealer was telling me that there would be more colours would be coming out soon. I have booked for a blue color when ever it comes then only I will go in for.
As for the street model honestly it was totally in mat finish looks were very good but being mat it is very difficult to maintain it in for longer runs hence rulled it out completely.
The throttle response was very very smooth as I gave a little bit of throttle to see the the response of the exhaust. Very nice machine. I am loving it.

                              Re: Bajaj Avenger Series Launched

Today I finally took the test drive of both the vehicles.
                              First and foremost the cruiser
Yes this bike is like too comfortable to ride. But because of the broad handle bars I had little bit of difficulty while turning other than that everything was very good.

                              Second the street
This is the bike which I intend to buy in the comming days yes the street had everything I wanted it to be. More over I know it is the old avanger but yes there were things which were different there was 0 vibration from the vehicle plus the throttle response was very very smooth for which I was shocked was this a bajaj product or a full different machine all together.
The digital meter was nice for a change in a cruiser. The gear shift were very much response to also the nutural was easy for which I was surprised as I have previously owned 3 bajaj bikes since 2010.
Friends I am surprised to hear this and also want you all to confirm on this that the street model which is having alloys don't have tubeless tyre fitted on them they are giving the old tube tyre. Reason there was no making on the tyre which shows that it is tubeless also the dealer has confirmed this that it is a tube tyre.
He also proved it by showing me the pulsar 220 tyre which has tubeless written on the tyre of that bike but not on this. Very sad from bajaj cost cutting.
The ride on both the machines were very good. Ride it to believe it.
