That fancy hashtag only worked for a day or two. Three days later everyone on social media stopped posting it and then its back to being dirty again.
The moron who asked the country to follow it himself hasn't done zilch to clean the holy city like he promised he would so why would his fans fair any better?

People who are buying second hand cars and illegal stickering/number plates are just the catalysts to this pollution. If they feel proud about their actions, they will in the near future be responsible for the worsening condition of their own city. They only have themselves to blame when their kids and relatives spend more time in the hospital getting treated for something that was preventable.

Well if he could not keep his words, maybe he shouldn't have made any promises in the first place. Why make tall claims that you do not intend to keep?

1) Swachch Bharat Abhiyaan was not meant to work for a day, it was supposed to be a forever movement. It didn't work past 3 days.
2) Showing one or two social media post of people randomly cleaning stuff does not indicate that everybody else is following it or that they are even doing it as part of any movement. People have been cleaning stuff on their own well before that hashtag even came about. One google search will be enough to show you that.

So, can you give us some ideas that will instantaneously reduce the pollution levels overnight ?
As for your request for 'assurances' , its up to the citizens (i've mentioned this earlier too) to behave themselves and only so much any govt can do. Lets say you decide to grope me (or not have a bath or flick my wallet), it would be stupid of me to blame the government for it
You do have the freedom to use your own private vehicle(s) , and remember there will be folks who will point a finger at you (me, and others as well) and say 'look at that idiot, he has 2 vehicles and is polluting the environment'
So unless someone suggests a better way (again another debate would arise on this), we are left with no option but to try and stick to the rules and let the cribbers continue their duty online (i would be surprised if one you guys filed a PIL in a court regarding this or for that matter any issue)
So let us keyboard warriors stick to our battlefield and let the babu's do their thing.

agree with everything except the above.. I think maybe lower emissions, but definitely the two wheelers outnumber the larger automobiles.
there was a recent reference to the number of new vehicles being registered yearly and the number of two wheelers was around 60% and around 33% of the emissions where from the two wheelers according to one report
