    News Approved.

Well, that's really a good choice of place. Just a 240 kms drive from Gurgaon, and they're in Jaipur.

I do hope they expand and go into academics also, so that immensely bright students get recognised right from inception, and they can apply their imagination to the fullest extent, with such a huge group backing them.
Today, there's so much talent in the country, most of which unrecognised due to parental pressure, people stuck in the wrong jobs, unemployment, financial constraints, technical constraints, and various other reasons.

Wish Hero Motocorp all the best for this project.

Good. Now they can design a Karizma that doesn't look like Dickbutt (any 9gaggers here???)

Seriously, however, I believe the issue is not the availability of talent, but the tastes of the higher management who have to sign off designs and allocate bugets.

Finally a world class r&d center of hero. Now they can design new products and engine at the earliest.
Hope to see it in person some day. As usual with hero this is a huge center and will be the hub for india and other countries products research and design.

Now will have to request friend for a visit.

Hope that hero finally comes up with a decently designed bike and engine and stop using honda clones.

They have already moved in that direction, haven't they?
They got some valuable lessons from the Karizma debacle in 2014. I hear that 2015 models of the same model fare better with very less issues.
Also I heard that Splendor iSmart 110 is their own engine built from ground up. Do you have any intel on this?

The new Karizma/zmr were the same units with design inputs from ebr and a few tweaks to the motor. On the whole it wasnt much different from the old one. Regarding the i-smart 110, it looks to me like a modified twister/dream's motor. May be hero redesigned some of the internals. Untill i physically see the engine, i really cant say.

Guys, its quite possible that this will be the biggest R&D facility of Hero Motocorp for some time, given this article below:-

This is an interview by Mr. Pawan Munjal:-

Jaipur R&D facility will make Hero MotoCorp self sustainable: Pawan Munjal - The Economic Times

If they are using modified Twister/Dream's Motor, won't they have have to pay royalty for that too??

I suppose so, privided that they are indeed using the twister motor as a base. They are already using the twister engine in the new passion right?

Anyways, lets hope that hero gives us something substantial to drool over soon. I lost interest in hero after the first gen zma. Hope they give tough competetion to other players in the bigger cc catagory.

Engine used in new ismart 110 is
all new. Check the slant angle of two engines & one will notice difference. The engine on ismart110 is not uprightly vertical as compared to passion xpro & livo.
