That's a good price for what it offers. The most likely potential customers are farmers and people who do sales grom grocery to grocery.

Re: TVS XL 100 Launched at Rs 30174/- in Delhi
with that little power, it is obviously going to return a pretty decent FE which is needed. On the other hand, being a 4 stroke. How will it fair over the old 2 stroke TVS XL Super? Any idea on the torque figures?Splendor - 2k to 2006

Good upgrade to the rural workhorse of south india but one crap of a machine really. 4PS from 100CC and 67kmpl for bare engine stuck with two wheels speaks of decades old design being milked in to 21st century. The price tag is what is best about this shit piece of machinery.

I and a couple of friends used to have a blast with the little moped during out college days. Its light and peppy till 35 kmph even with two well built lads on it. I wonder how long will the 2 stroke engined one be available with 4 stroke one. I pass daily by the showroom and have seen both models so far. The TVS XL super is one of the most successful models from TVS and I hope the last of the two strokes stays into the next decade.

One of my relatives bought it. He says that its better than the two stroke XL. Previously he had XL two stroke. But i think power rating is too low for 100cc 4 stroke. Even yamaha scootys claims 66km/l with fairly high power rating than this.
I think In real world the xl can deliver 50+ km/l mileage.

With this vehicle also having upgraded to 100cc shouldn't the learners license law be changed? If I recall correctly your LL applies to vehicles below 70cc only.Every Motorcycle has a tale to be told and there is no greater privilage in the life of a rider than to have truly understood what his Motorcycle stands to tell. Some of the greatest stories in the world are not written, they are experienced.

Re: TVS XL 100 Launched at Rs 30174/- in Delhi
A friend in school had the two stroke version in 1999-2000.. that was when it was first launched.. i remember it was nice n peppy and consistently returned a FE of at least 40kmpl.. considering we used to trash it around (was mostly ridden with throttle wide open). I was glad I had an opportunity to ride these classic two strokers (tvs 50/champ/xl super , kiney, rx series, shogun, samurai's) in their stock form as a youngsterOriginally posted by srikany View PostI and a couple of friends used to have a blast with the little moped during out college days. It will surely deliver 50+ kmpl.
These are targeted at a different audience, who need a low cost reliable work horse/mode of transport.
