Great news, must have been a huge relief to the customers that it did not go thru a lengthy court battle involving customers.
    Good move Kawasaki

They did not do anybody a favour by delivering the bikes whatever the legal position maybe. Marketshare is won out their in open market where there are competitors and not in courtrooms.

"It is common in automotive industry" "Dealers face problem from time to time" "Our operating model is secure" these kind of statements gives me a very negative image of the company. Either IKM is incompetent or defensive or a mixture of both. Basically, dealing with their dealers is like Russian Roulette, you never know which dealer will fire badly as IKM says "this is common in automotive industry"

N650 has been in my radar for a looong time but now I am skeptical.

Go ahead BUY the bike , don't be skeptical. one black sheep of dealer should not be taken as a universal phenomenon. Its not only with automotive industry we have people using unfair means in all walks of life unfortunately in our country. So go ahead follow your dream.

          Hey,

You made my day with such great news early in the morning.
I'm so relieved to hear that the customers got their respective bikes, and also the bad taste regarding Kawasaki has soothed a little
Because i don't understand that what turned the tables on Kawasaki ?
For a moment there IKM showed its ugly side to us and the next we hear All's Well that End's Well ?!
Did the parent company put their foot down or the bad press got to them

Anyways i'm happy that i can get back to my Ninja/Versys fantasy without feeling any pangs of conscience

One thing i would like to know--- what will happen to the guy who took off with the demo bike
Because by now he must have registered the bike. I mean nothing is set in stone and i really hope he also gets a replacement otherwise he would be kicking himself for eternity....... i know i would .

          Cheers.

Give them some goodies to keep their experience happy, their hatred should not be turned towards their vehicle.

This is the power of social media! The pressure from social media sites got to IKM! In an opposite world where there is no social media IKM wouldn't have given two rats about the customers, likewise almost every other big company would've done the same thing.

Re: Kawasaki finally hands over the motorcycles to the aggrieved SNK Palm Beach customers.

In short it can be said that, Actions speak louder than words.
So, Kawasaki's actions must be appreciated, even though their legal & public words (to customers) regarding this fiasco weren't quite... (what word should I use here)... decent enough.
Although, I hope you do understand that, its not in their legal interest to openly admit a vulnerability (if at all), which may further go against them.

Of course, I did suggest them to provide some freebies for the owners, like some imported helmets or collectibles, but let's end the topic for now, I guess. They got their bikes, that's our biggest relief.
I do hope their legal words get forgotten soon, because they're the legendary company.. the Kawasaki Heavy Industries.
They've produced 300 kmph Bullet Trains, Huge 4 storey high Ship engines, aerodynamic components, etc. They're the pride of Japan. Many of us consider them in the same league as the other 3 Japanese corporations because all make bikes, but let me tell you, Kawasaki are a league above, and no one snatches this truth from them.

I suggest potential owners to give Kawasaki a fair chance, because all the good things they've strived to achieve like quality, reliability, price and product range, etc should not be overshadowed at once, just because one dealer turned sour. Let's learn to forgive.
Just don't pay a full/ majority amount in advance anymore, ever in life though, no matter what you're getting for yourself.

At the end, I do wish for justice for the fraud dealer. He caused so much tension and heartbreaks among not only owners, but Kawasaki and other bikers too. May God handle him accordingly..

We didn't hear from him directly, but he was found on the blog by Akhil Kalsh, a very vocal blogger in the entire matter.
I searched but I couldn't find the blog article where the ZX14R guy posted. Will update as I find it.

I guess its' safe to assume that that guy would have to deal with a demo bike for now, maybe using its warranty period to replace wrong/ malfunctioning parts.
Of course, this is not the justice we all dream of, but I guess he might be just riding a lot more, than complaining about it... After all, the bike did work, and after all, its a Kawasaki...
Its our thinking that a demo bike is inferior, but only the end user can comment on this topic..
