      Yes, they responded with 2019 after the BMW news.

      However unlike BMW's ADV 'styled' approach, I think KTM may go for a more thoroughbred ADV approach and hence the 3 year timeline.

      But KTM will loose the first mover advantage in this segment, just like BMW lost that advantage when KTM launched the Duke 200/390 over the last few years.

      For now we are yet to see the G310R launched on our roads, I don't know how long BMW-TVS will take get the 310 GS launched on our roads. Hope the wait does not turn into years

            Gotcha.. But the 390 is a single pot. What more do u expect in it rather than ground clearance, suspension, tires and state of tune? KTM is holding some thing else that they are not willing to reveal at the moment.

                Well the article that said that the existing 390 platform was not good enough to do the ADV variant and this is why we will see the ADV variant only in 2019.

                So I am guessing that the ADV 390 is going to be more than just a suspension and tyre change, and probably be a slightly different engine setup (though may still have the same single pot base), a different frame, etc.

                Wishful thinking, but KTM is working on a parallel twin engine for the 800... Would be awesome to see smaller 400 twin on the ADV instead of the single pot motor.

                But I'd be happy even if its the same single pot 373cc engine, as long as we get the ADV variant.

                Lets not take this OT discussion further, this is after all a BMW thread

                From the recent more clearer spy pics, it looks like the front suspension has slightly more travel as compared to the G310R. Also the higher profile tyres should aid with the GC as well.

                      This is great as bmw motorad itself launched, unless we have to still drool over the leaked pictures. 2017👍. They should also bring all accessories and gears along with the motorcycle while launching here, may be with offroad spoke wheels too.

                        The suzuki v-strom 250 claims a tank range of approx +500kms.
                        I would love that kind of range on this too.
                        Already can see myself riding into oblivion....

                            They look like that because they are built to a purpose and that is adventure & off-roading, so yeah, it will look queer on the urban streets.
