they already have a very good tire in the 110/70 size, i.e. the Revz FC (or the newer Revz FC1) - the one that comes on the Ktm 200's.
and probably the same reason they have not launched a 150/60 size too..
forget the marketing terms.. the 150/60 and 110/70 revz c/fc/c1/fc1 are similar rounded profile and a soft-ish compound with good grip.
the masseter seems to be targeted at other motorcycles that did not use the 150 and 110 sizes, and this market is huge.
Just because it has a different sub-brand let's not assume the existing one (revz c) is bad or this is better. To me, it seems they made the right decision in not duplicating their tires (150 or 110 size) under different sub-brands.

Has anyone tried this with cbr 250? I am in mood of changing the crappy contigo's to michelin pilot street. Could definitely give MRF a dekho.

Beautiful. Yes, to your point about the shoulder profile, I second your thoughts completely the mm profile on offer isn't going to be much of a help either, unless one is extremely cautious in knowing what ones putting the front end up to, can it be twitchy, I presume so. So to your point about 9 mm difference, we can only know what it offers on tap when a user opines.

    Cheers!

Thanks to MRF, at least we have some desi options to cater to this growing segment. They should have more options in the tyre size they offer as we have multiple brands in the 200-400 CC category here but I guess those will be released too gradually.
I am not very sure of how much effective the central grove in water channeling as there is no exit path for that channel and they have made it a continuous grove without connections. The soft compound is what helps the grip but we have to find out how good they are for urban commute in our country which has lots of potholes/debris on the roads because no one will like to end up with a puncture on the street, that too in the monsoons.

Wonder why they don't have the hotcake 100/80-17.

However, the lowered sidewall height might be great for cornering but not so good for our pothole ridden roads.

Considering that the same size tyre is used across P220, P180, Apache160 & Apache180, I think there was more than enough justification for MRF to launch this in 90/90-17.

In fact apart from the R15 V1 I don't even recollect which bike uses a 80/90-17 tyre, even the CBR150 uses a 80/100-17 tyre!!

Doesnt this also suffer from the same handicap?
The euroslips have the same pattern of the TVsS srichakra tyres. I guess it's the same tyre compound with just a rebranding and nothing more.
Looking at these new MRFs they look decent and can have decent wet grip as the testing batch had a wet/damp track and they seemed impressed. However I did not see any cornering there.. few bent a bit and that's about it.

MRF aiready had great tyres for R15 with the original v1 tyres but seems to have lost the way with the R3 tyres which are not so confidence inspiring specially wet grip, they should have had the track day with atleast 200 -300 cc bikes for comparisons but better than not having a track day i suppose.Anyway out of the Indian brands i think they have the best 2 wheeler tyres .

Soft compounds and their wet grip is not great as well.
