Blatant disrespect towards anyone's Intellectual Property Rights, not just limited to electronics and automotive, Chinese are just crazy! In a bad way that too.
And most of their local market is controlled by them, hence most (non China based) companies don't take any action because they would have to lift shops from Chinese mainland then.

      Pure mafia mentality this!

I agree with the government's defence of their country's pirate empire!

But, How will they get the reliability though? Will you trust a chinese bike at 180 kmph? (Granted they've started making high quality mobiles and all, but still..)
And although this looks well spec'ed, apparently focused on low end torque, but I've also seen a (mis?)branded 150cc chinese bike making 11~ bhp @ 10,000 rpm. Anyone's imagination is correct on how weird (or low performing, honestly) it will turn out......

Even big companies like Royal Enfield, Mahindra and Bajaj have struggled with quality, so the Chinese still can't give a have it all package, I believe. I think that the Europeans will give it a GTFO kick from the market.

Although, we'll find out in few years.... And, its not wise under-estimating them though..

I really doubt they can beat the pricing of Bajaj and people will have More Faith in Bajaj than in any Chinese brands, And maybe that's the reason they are not entering India. 😁

Absolutely correct, first step for them is to copy it as closely as they can and then slowly they'll add their own inputs and over time they'll start rolling out their own technology, side by side maintaining their copy cats. Only thing they can't do is build a brand value as good as the Japs or the Europeans. It is not hard for they to copy a 1000cc engine when they reverse engineer jet engines and nuclear propulsion.

At some level i don't think there is anything wrong in copying the designs etc

That's why we have Intellectual property rights and patents. Otherwise every tom, dick and harry and their supporters would open a company and copy design and tech in order to earn a quick buck! I don't question their technical prowess, but I haven't seen any solid indigenous Chinese passenger vehicle (2/4 wheeler) to date either.

As a person who was massively looking forward to the CFMoto Police, I wouldnt mind it, provided that they first prove themselves in Europe and for that matter in India.

Like CFMoto has done in EU, and Benelli both in EU and India.
