That's sad! 2.3 ex showroom was I expected

Interesting developments. Rumor now has it that KTM might drop the 200 altogether and replace it with the 250:

2017 KTM 250 Duke to be launched in India on February 23 instead of new 200 Duke?

          Re: KTM Duke 250

I think what Bajaj is trying to do is to position KTM at the premium end of market to avoid eating into each other. With NS200 & Dominor sitting below 1.5 L , there are problems with product differentiation.

We all know the both engines of NS, Dominor are different to KTM but a common man do not understands the same. I was discussing with a knowledgeable friend of mine about KTM 390 & straightway suggested me to go for Dominor.

Reason - Same Engine Man. why waste so much money

More over having 250 CC gives them leverage to position it in a significant price bracket above dominor around 1.7 - 1.9 L bracker thus opening a window for 390 to be positioned more premium of around 2.3 - 2.5 L .

Edit- It seems we Existing dukes are getting a new sibling . There is a surprise in store on 23 for sure

What is most heartening for me is the fact that pilion seat look more usable now for the intended user . most probably i will book One once first batch of dukes have got services to avoid initial niggles .

same engine but different output and loads of features which the Dominor misses out it can be still considered as a VFM product handsdown, and KTM is KTM

As I said earlier, KTM needs to keep up with the competition, hence the 250 instead of 200. And I really wish this to happen, otherwise the price of 390 is going sky high.

                Re: KTM Duke 250

                So again, I'll confirm!

Duke 250 doesn't come with abs as standard. Not that I've seen an ABS Variant either.

The color scheme will be too loud for many, special the orange on the tank!

Very good power delivery! Not vibey like the 390, it's exactly between the 200-390 even for the NVH levels!

Heats a bit, but who cares if it rides that way!
