If priced rightly. Less than 2-2.3 lacs, this will sell like hot cakes! That BMW logo, Seat, USD Forks, meaty tires everything looks so sexy. I wonder if we'll get the same quality in India. But, we should get it IMO.
If not priced right, then nobody will give a damn. Haha. But, chances are less as it is a TVS.

TVS gets an insight into how to develop top-notch vehicles, and it is going apply some learning to use in upcoming Apache 200. Not only that, a nexus with BMW would increase its credibility multi-folds.
You can take it as gospel that BMW would never compromise on quality, it'll only be using TVS manufacturing facilities. And since it is a tech sharing agreement with no stakes involved, there is all the more reason to believe that G310 would be an exemplary product just like other BMWs.

Apache 200 would compete against Duke 200 and G310 would compete against Duke 390 and would definitely be priced higher than 390. Although, considerably less than TNT 300/Z250. From mechanicals to cosmetics, you can expect everything to be better than KTM.

If you're too lazy to read it completely, I am writing down some key points:

• A dedicated production area has been set aside in the factory for production of G310. The engine assembly line is completely new and fitted with
  cutting-edge automation and testing technology for every stage of the
  process.
• Developed in Munich by BMW Motorrad – produced in India (BMW needs to pay its engineers and designers).
• The final inspection is performed according to
  BMW Motorrad standards and includes electronic functional testing as well as
  a final run on the roller test bench for every motorcycle.
  
  All in all, production of the new BMW G 310 R is subject to the same quality criteria that apply to production at the BMW Motorrad plant in Berlin-Spandau.

You should read their press release document properly. They are not just creating a separate production area but they are also importing German manufactured machinery and tools for the production line. Also BMW Personnel will be training and supervising TVS workforce designated for the manufacture of the G310. Lets not forget something here, Bajaj owns half of KTM's stakes and so they can call shots on KTM's decisions. TVS does not own anything of BMW, they are merely in a Tech-sharing agreement. TVS has to play by BMW's rules. I am not fanboying over BMW and thrashing Bajaj but I keep faith in a brand like BMW and their quality assurance

That being said, BMW Motorrad (their motorcycle showroom name) is present only in Mumbai and Bangalore (and Mangalore I think). I think they will try to build more establishments in various cities before launching the G310R because I believe the G310 is targeted at the mass population and without enough network, it would be useless to launch that bike here.

Which again can mean something and that is, it might be a while before the G310 actually launches for Indian market

Please stop saying it's a TVS, it's not a TVS even tho it's made at a TVS plant, just like KTM's are made at Bajaj's plant.

Hope this clears up alot of questions that you clearly do not know any answers to.

It's a BMW, you will be paying a premium over other bikes in the market, just like you would for a Harley.
Just because it's made in India doesn't mean it will go low on quality, BMW is a Ultra Premium brand and they will stay that way, even if you don't like it people will buy it because it's a BMW.

Nothing is cheap in Malaysia. Check the Ktms

Introductory price might be lower then KTM 390 to kick start it in India I assume.
