Wont call it ugly but not pretty either. More importantly I don't think Indian market is mature enough to go for such designs but hey Suzuki management knows better than man, don't they?

Nice photo-shopping there mate and definitely it looks much better to me with some of the plastics chucked off.

I had a talk with my several colleagues & friends, (who are not so called bike enthusiast, but might buy a bike), and most of them are very excited with this design & feels it looks more premium than it's segment. Hence to all the haters of this design, just have a talk with the ordinary people & you will understand that the bike is rather attention grabbing to most of them!!

The target audience for this bike must be girls from anime.

You are right !

When we come across many bike designs one may not impressed on different designs on Posters. But what happen in the real world condition.

Real Bike's ability is in the heart of the bike and the ride quality!

Initially Duke design is very minimalistic on Design and not attracted many ! But attracted more bikers because of its performance !

Let's wait until it hits the ground !

All replies here are critical responses towards the bike which is to be expected since this is a biking community.

My 2cents:

Specifications:
Compare this bike side by side with the gixxer on the suzuki website using their compare function >>> Its the exact same copy of the GSX150 without the FI and a kick-rod.

Design:
Wheels, engine, instrument console, switch gear, brakes, swingarm, almost everything except the body plastics is borrowed from GSX150

I like the design of the bike, its not bad. I like the look from the sides, from the front and from the top. But when you look at it from the back, you realize that the wheel is too narrow for the rear body panel as seen in the pic below. I wished the rear tyre could have been wider so that it dint look like an Activa from the back.

Isn't it the Intruder 150 shares same 140 section tyre from gixxer ? Intruder 1800 has whooping 240 section rear tyre. My gripe was if they launched same setup with a DR/DRZ tag i would be more than happy. With Vast terrain and versatile road condition of Indian subcontinent am yawning for a dual sports more and more so.

So what are we expecting ! Do even commute model uses larger than 140/50/60 section which available here ? Should get a real world visual before we all get critical over puff and powder.

Real world visual wouldnt include such a big looking bike in the commuter segment to begin with.

I honestly believe this is just an experiment by Suzuki to test how things fare with masses before they introduce a mid-range Intruder.

Just to remember, mostly when it's about beauty, it's about the symmetry. We humans love some kind of symmetry everywhere. (Example - the society's standard of a facial beauty usually contains having a symmetrical face from all angels, scientists acclaim). This bike does't have it, thus the critique.

Just my old 500 Rs. note on this matter.

I have mixed bag of feelings about this, like I have already mentioned, few less plastic bits here and there would have been better on this. But when you think again and if Suzuki did go that way and made it a plain Jane baby cruiser, we would have had complaints like "What is different from Avenger?" "Why should we pay more for this when we can get Avenger 220 at this price?" So, in my guess, Suzuki did this on purpose, to make it look apart. Boy they did so, and call this 'power(less) cruiser', but this sure will polarize opinions.

On the other hand, I guess this will suffer with the same syndrome as Gixxer SF, "Brilliant chassis, begging for more power". I am excited for this as I was excited when Aprilia announced SR150, I want these to success, so that these big bike manufacturers bring more of this stuff. I hope the Intruder finds few takers on regular basis.

How difficult is it for a reputed motorcycle company to not bring the Intruder with an addition of 100-150 cc's? I mean the way it looks is another topic, but come on, people are starting to buy quarter litre bikes and are not stuck in the 150cc segment here in India! I am tired of these Japanese companies(Not Kawasaki) who still think we are not capable of buying a motorcycle which is not a 150cc.

I have tweaked my design a little bit, instead of LeoVince Cobra exhaust put on the original Intruder 800 exhaust pipe and instead of those hideous plastic bits put on a radiator from Pulsar 200NS, looks ALOT better now, Suzuki is making me feel like a guy with little PS skills can do better job than them!

This is the same design but with Inazuma's heart, it fills out very nicely compared to the petty 155CC engine, and it could have been a proper cruiser with this Inazuma Engine.

If they did that, the bike's top speed would be 25.
