    So the Street Twin's dry weight is exactly 198 kg. Guess what - the RE CGT also weighs 198 kg dry, the Interceptor is 202 kg dry.
    Now, the Triumph has two-piston Nissin brakes up front. The RE twins have two piston Bybre brakes up front.

    I'd take the Nissins any day. (I have been using Bybre brakes myself on my P200, I installed the P220 front caliper on it)

      I think the continental Gt 535 came with brembo brakes upfront why is re downgrading the brakes to bybre

        Correct me if I am wrong but out of all the pure bred indian motorcycle makers (Bajaj, Enfield, Tvs and Hero and Mahindra) has Enfield just become the first one to unveil a twin???

        Wish the others were as proactive as Enfield instead of peddling out bad stickerjobs and boring out 20 year old engines.

          If you talk about working twin, then yes. RE is first. But Enfield is not pure bred Indian though. It was subsidiary of Royal Enfield UK. It was called Enfield of India which had partners like Enfield cycle Company and Madras motors of India.
          But today, you can call RE is Indian brand. And it is proud moment for RE and Indian biking industry fans.

                Brilliant effort by RE-if anything,the company has the cojones to take on all comers in the 500cc+ segment.
                Priced right,they should do well-but anything more than 4lakhs and RE may have a problem of moving many from their showroom-at least in India.
                Personally,the bikes are lookers-a long test ride is definitely in order whenever these are launched-the standard ergo Interceptor650 is right up my alley.

                  These RE twins look fine and are specc'ed fine too, just the right amount of torque and power for cruising the country. I hope the do a good job on parts and electricals and if if these are high quality then pricing this bike in 3.5-4.25 Lakhs would still be fair IMO.

                    All the people asking about vibes, a twin cylinder set up doesn't vibe as much as a single. Furthermore, the 650 doesn't have the donkey dick stroke of the singles. Also the 650 has a counter balancer. So it should be reasonably vibe free.
