What I meant by Old Hat here was that the change of name was done more than a year ago. And it was not just a change of name. It had business implications. To bypass certain "red tape" to be able to get some "other" products (not clear which which products a year ago). The move had been approved quite sometime back. That it has been published now is kinda slow and I was surprised. That is what I meant when I said Old Hat.
The Wheel was a great invention; Two Wheels with a Motor in between was even better!

              Yamaha ups the MT01 ante!

Yamaha has jazzed up the MT01 torque monste, that has remained largly unchanged since it first appeared in 2004. The limited edition 'SP' version gets top notch Ohlins suspension up front and rear. The SP also gets premium Pirelli Diablo Rosso tyres as standard. Visiaully the bike gets a sporty red and white paint job and golden wheels for exclusivity.

Note: I came across this news somewhere and thought of sharing with fellow xbhpians. Didn't want to start a new topic for this one and since this thread was related to Yamaha, posted the info here. No offense.
