The Honda CBR 250R while a good motorcycle has fallen behind new, faster and better looking rivals. While the Activa is at god knows what G we are stuck with a 7 year old design repackaged with LED lights and new stickers. But that's not my biggest gripe.
What really irritates me is Honda has replaced the CBR250R with the better looking and more powerful CBR300R in every market worldwide except India! I cannot even begin to fathom the reason for this discrimination.
Ideally, Honda should have launched the CBR 300R at the same price range as the CBR 250R ABS model. The CBRR300R makes 30hp and 27nm compared to the Apache 310RR's 34 HP and 27nm. Add to that Honda's excellent refinement and reliability, the CBR300R could have been a credible rival to the Apache. I would certainly line up to buy one as an upgrade to my Gixxer and I'm sure a good number of riders would have the same opinion. Honda has just lost a golden opportunity to regain some of the ground it has ceded to rivals in this segment. I am very very disappointed.
