What is the difference between the two? Is it only to do with the numbers?

Its the new Repsol Honda livery edition. This was the old one:

      Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

Only with the numbers below the windshield or some difference in graphics as well?

I don't know why honda is not launching CBR300R or atleast updated CBR250R in India. I feel updated CBR can give honda lot more traction in premium segment rather than doing these stupid sticker jobs.

Because they don't think people in India would buy the CBR300R at 2.5 or 2.6L (I'm guessing this would be price) over a KTM Duke 390 at 2.2L. The ones who would prefer a CBR250R over a Duke 390 constitute a small fraction of their target audience. Indian market is still not mature enough to pay more for a lesser capacity bike. To most people, this doesn't deem worthy of a value-for-money-buy. I think offering discounts of 7-8% on the CBR250R would help the sales a little bit but they aren't that bothered as CBR250R sales would be contributing to a small chunk of their profits.

So you mean Honda will charge 90k more for providing twin-headlamps, 37cc more displacement, some changes to the frame and little bit of weight reduction....???

Okay, I forgot to mention on-road price. Not 90k, 20-30k more (compared to on-road price of 250R ABS). +4.5 bhp , +5 Nm torque (and everything else you mentioned).

20k is a reasonable hike considering the amount of up-gradation we will get.

With all big watery eyes we may discuss, But NOTHING is gonna happen. Honda is deaf to anything regarding upgradation of CBR 250r

You are absolutely right brother but still we are hoping for good. I know Honda is very lazy which is mainly because of our cost sensitive market and on top of everything some people give importance to bhp figures only rather than overall on road performance. Forget the engine upgrade, they are not even considering the naked version of cbr which is present in other markets. They just need to remove the fairing and need to add tank scoops, straight handlebar and may be 1-2 things more. These changes can make it more pocket friendly and ruff & tuff type of motorcycle for touring and streets as well.

Yes only numbers. You have to order them individually from what I read on Honda's facebook page.
They did it with the 2015 Fireblade too

Well, I tried to stir something up with Honda regarding this:

So, earlier yesterday Honda 2 Wheelers India yet again released a "Race Replica" limited edition CBR250R for the benefit of the fans. Being a motorcycle enthusiast waiting since forever for Honda to...
