Calling BMW G310 GS and G 310R one of the most awaited motorcycles of India won’t be an overstatement. They have been showcased at two consecutive auto expos which took place in India but their launch has been delayed from time to time. Both the motorcycles are already on sale in some of the other countries, while we still wait for a concrete information regarding their launch. But recently a small lot of BMW G310 GS, which is the adv-tourer version of its roadster counterpart, was spotted transporting towards Bengaluru indicating some groundwork by BMW staff before the launch.

The 310 series is a product which came into inception because of the partnership between TVS and BMW-Motorrad. TVS already launched their version in the name of Apache RR310 in December last year. Some reports suggested that the bookings for both the motorcycles from BMW’s stable have already begun unofficially but they are open for only those who have owned a BMW motorcycle before.

Both the motorcycles are powered by 313cc water cooled single cylinder engine which churns out 33.6 bhp @ 9500 rpm and 28 nm @ 7500 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6 speed transmission and is fuel injected. The GS is inclined towards touring while the R is more street focused. We anxiously wait for their official launch.
