At an ex-showroom price of Rs. 1.6 Lacs (Rs. 9k above the non-ABS model), KTM has finally launched the KTM Duke 200 ABS in India, thus completing a package that a small sized sportsbike must be.
It was already being produced at the Bajaj's Chakan plant, Pune for the export market, but India welcomes this variant now.
The ABS system is developed by Bosch. The pics show ABS rings on both wheels... But this may be single/ dual channel ABS. Further confirmation is awaited.
The 200 Duke ABS will be available in three colours – orange, white and black – across the entire KTM dealership network in India, which spans 450 outlets.
Soon, around April 2019, there will be a mandation in effect to have ABS on all new bikes and scooters above 125cc. And KTM, by all means is "Ready to Race", if we may say so. For now, even non ABS model will continue to be sold as long as it can.

What do you think Xbhpians?
It is going to be mandatory in the future, and we thank KTM for thinking about this today, but does it have the demand for now?
Will the common customer go the distance and spend 9k more for safety? (Ideally they should! But will they?)
