  • Yamaha R3 MotoGP Edition: Monster energy graphics for the 2020 R3

While India makes do with the older version of R3, though ABS-equipped now, Yamaha launched the 2019 R3 for the world in October last year. The bike has not made it to the Indian shores yet and Yamaha has unveiled the 2020 Yamaha R3 for the world. Here, for your viewing pleasure, is the Yamaha R3 MotoGP Edition.

The motorcycle remains mechanically unchanged when compared to the 2019 model (you can read about the 2019 model and its specs here), the Yamaha R3 MotoGP Edition gets Monster Energy livery straight from the Yamaha M1, piloted by The Doctor Valentino Rossi and Maverick Vinales in MotoGP.
Mechanically, as we stated earlier, the motorcycle remains the same and thus, continues to be powered by the DOHC parallel-twin motor that displaces 321cc. It produces 41.4 Bhp of power and 29.6 Nm of torque. ABS is standard and just like the 2019 iteration, it gets USD forks from Kayaba.

    Yamaha R3 MotoGP Edition Specifications:

    Engine: 321cc, DOHC, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin with 8-valves

    Power: 41.4 Bhp @ 10,750rpm

    Torque: 29.6 Nm @ 9,000rpm

    Transmission: 6-Speed

Front suspension: Non-adjustable KYB 41mm inverted fork

Rear suspension: Linkage-assisted spring-preload adjustable KYB shock

    Front tyre: 110/70 x 17

    Rear tyre: 140/70 x 17

Front brake: 298mm disc with ABS

Rear brake: 220mm disc with ABS

Yamaha India are sleeping after seeing the success of Kawasaki N300. Hope they get up from their slumber soon.
