-their 2nd or 3rd model can be the gsx250 which pumps out a superb 40bhp! or even the 400 version which pumps out 53 bhp.. but that wont happen b4 end 2005..no way

Ooooooooooh.. I wish that happens... But I definitely think that initially coming out with a 250/400 is a bit too ambitious and wont see reality unfortunately...

trust me india is not ready for the big bikes anytime soon with petrol price increasing almost rapidly dont expect big bikes from any one other than the settled ones you know hh and bajaj and yamaha tvs etc and besides ppl like me who dont care for mileage are not common in india what say guys isnt a zma heavy on the pocket unless compared to older two strokes

Boy am I gonna burst a lot of bubbles here!!!!

Suzuki carried a full page ad in The Times of India (Mumbai) about a month ago.
Check out this page http://www.globalsuzuki.com/globallinks/index.html This has a link to India (motorcycles) which takes us to suzuki's indian motorcycle site. Right now it was not working for some reason but a coupla weeks ago it was. The site does not contain any models info but I dug out an email address from there and sent a mail to them asking abt the models they were gonna launch.

Too bad I deleted their reply so I cant paste it here. U'll have to trust me on this.
They replied to the mail saying that they were entering the indian market in Oct 2005 with 'Commuter' motorcycles (they used this same word, hence the quotes) and scooters!?! so no busas for a while!!!
When u see a SPECK on the horizon and SMELL BURNIN\' RUBBER...Know this:- I JUST PASSED BY...

Yeah, absolutely.. They need to build the image first coz no one is gonna invest the whole lot of money in absence of genuine brand name. Even if 'Suzuki' is a good brand name, still we cant deny the fact that Honda is moving ahead of all and suzuki is not established one in the local market.

Hopefully in 2-3 yrs, 200cc bikes will be the norm.... not too hard to believe... coz at the rate at which the market is expanding right now, 150s are almost in the commuter category now. So hopefully (and I know I'm building castles in the sky) Suzuki might come out with some inline 4 600 by then

                        Woddya think?
