    Another of those 'wolf, wolf' stories !! The companies shout 'SBK, SBK' and come out with another lamb (commuter bike) !!
    I'm waiting to 'Dance with the wolves'

    Is 50 bhp possible with a 250cc 4 stroke. [?] I was under the impression that you can get at the most 40 bhp.

      i thought the same. the most powerful stock bike i've seen with 250cc is the Hornet producing 40 bhp.

          Hey pulsar flame, no harm in dreaming and discussing dreams

          And I don't think building a plant has anything to do with SBKs. The plant would be for commuter bikes.

          SBKs will only come as CKD or CBU imports . . . . at least for the next 2 decades. And this only takes a couple of months after the company has made up its mind.

            @Nishu : great signature , very insightful .

            Stop curisng the manufacturers .
            Japanese motorcycle manufacturers work and invest money into their manufacturing and R&D - science & technology aren't free .

            They must at least recover their investment and some profit ; the global market for 600cc sportbikes is at least 50000 . How many of you are actually ready to buy such a bike in the next one year ? In the next 5 years ?

            I don't think I'll have 5-6 lakhs to spare for at least 4-5 years , those who do still number in a few hundres - while that does mean imports are feasible , production is not . Wait a few years , let the govt feel pressur eto reduce artificial taxes abd duties , and with more realistic prices then some of us techies/software guys might just decide a nice CBR600 is a better investment than a wife ....and surely when there are a few hundreds or 1000s every year ready to buy these bikes , we'll have not only import at reasonable prices byt full service and spares support via local dealers , as in USA and Europe .
            Man will occasionally stumble over the truth, but most of the time he will pick himself up and continue on.

              Indeed , it gives me the inspiration to learn and learn more and to realize that "Learning is like rowing upstream , if you are not putting efforts , you are going backwards "
