BMW will not the yamaha way in INdia I think...they will aim the niche seg with CBUs or Knocked down kits...dunno, hope they can get atleast a 250 -400cc bike with upto50 bhp!!!..a wish we guys desperately want to be fulfilled!..anyway, I m sure their enduros should pick up here...esp with the real touring bikers...With great power, comes great responsibility- to man, machine and especially to mother nature.

I do not think BMW has any bike less than 600 cc in its stable !! And they're all pretty expensive. Also most BMW bikes have quite unconventional looks that many may not like.quote:Originally posted by rajazz

Its something great for long distance riders here in India. I have done a few trips on my CBZ and dream of owning one BMW enduro,as this country needs a bike like the BMW to go to far flung places without any fear of breakdowns or punctures. It really goes everywhere!!
About the launch, I'm not sure abt homologation procedures for bikes, but cars take just 3 months to get homologated.
As soon as the BMW team gives the go ahead, the bikes wud be here in 6 months time most probably.
