Honda plans new 110 & 250cc motorcycle

If it's 110cc then it's due to sibling mis-understanding, Honda might have asked HMSI to go in for a 110cc instead of 100cc, which bread n butter for HH. Actually it's nice move, though it cannot be termed as new segment, HMSI should be able to attach some USP for this bike. If 110cc is reality, then I'm sure this is win-win for both HMSI and HH. The Honda domination can only increase with this move in the market !!
250cc, hmmm.. let's see, everyone is watching each other before they could launch big bike I guess. I would say this may be true as the flagship showrooms of HMSI (set up exclusively for 2 big models may be gathering dust w/o any customers, they may import in some 250cc so that the premium segment is also dominated by Honda and keep the flagship showrooms busy).
Just my thoughts..

Well in context of the 250cc bike, I say, a bike to be manufactured in 2011 is FARTHER compared to a bike manufactured abroad.
Who knows, what will happen by 2011? Seriously, I refute this news. It's more like a "realistic prediction".
News is something that happened ... Not this!

250cc from Honda that's a gud news but bad part is 2011 and till that time we don't know how many 250cc bikes we'll have in our country.
And it doesn't seem so drastical move by Honda as all other companies are moving toward more powerful bikes.
And what happened to unicorn which has been in the market for long long time and is lagging far behind from its competition

I pity amateurishness of the writer
...HH and HMSI sit together and chalk out plans in the presence of Honda, Japan. The objective is simple.... increase Honda marketshare and not 'he pinched me, no he pinched me' kind of discussions. 100cc was planned in 2006 itself for HMSI, for which HH has shown displeasure, thinking that it will finish of it's mainstay products (HH 100cc).
A 110cc move by HMSI is a step to avoid confrontation b/w HH and HMSI. HH has got Uni engine for Achiever, Hunk and Xtreme plus Activa's engine for Pleasure....HH gave PGMFi to HMSI for it's stunner. They both are pure Honda and they work for common goal dectated by Honda Japan. And the 110cc will not break into HH's 100cc bastion in big way, they will sort it out by pricing/featuring in such a way that cannibalization is at min. level.

This News simply proves (if true) that HONDA is the most cunning player among all the makers present in India...

Of course, But one cant compare R15 with other 150cc bikes. It has created its own space or say in premium segment.Originally posted by ken cool View PostReally!!! Have you heard about the R15?2007 - Hero Honda CBZ Xtreme

That's newsOriginally posted by vipin_s View PostHH gave PGMFi to HMSI for it's stunner.
. Good thing no big honda fan has read this.
You really think so ?Originally posted by vipin_s View Postthe 110cc will not break into HH's 100cc bastion in big way,

Not to flame you but rather sounds like a self consolation from a honda & HH fan.
How much would you differentiate between a 100cc/110 cc bike?
feature wise, If honda launches a fully loaded but 110 cc bike with all goodies and price it well(high), how many would you expect to go after it?( my guess is very small.)
On a different note, dosen't honda want more market share, more money?
There's been athread somewhere about trouble between hh and honda(wasn't following it so cannot recollect details.). maybe there is something's really happening.
