    2. How much would you differentiate between a 100cc/110 cc bike?
feature wise, If honda launches a fully loaded but 110 cc bike with all goodies and price it well(high), how many would you expect to go after it?( my guess is very small.)

    3. On a different note, dosen't honda want more market share, more money?

    4. There's been athread somewhere about trouble between hh and honda(wasn't following it so cannot recollect details.). maybe there is something's really happening.
    1. OK dude, Honda gave everything to HH/HMSI (universal truth)!! Happy ??.
    2. Everything depends on pricing and featuring.
    3. Honda is a corporation, they make money, but they also give worthy and good products.
    4. The 'trouble' is there since HH was born, but according to Honda, HH is the biggest and most succesful joint venture ever in it's history. It's pride for them, but here it's more of sibling rivalry !!

      1. I'm not honda guy. so means nothing to me
The rest. Lets not argue about something about to happen in 2 years. Just hope the 250 will be a good one.(and there will be one)

Honda is not interested in India.

I am not rival for Honda. Even I like the Honda products.

Even though I use Yamaha bike I liked the honda bikes much for its quality. But the sad thing is looks like Honda is not much interested in Indian market as they are getting their big share from leader HH.

So they are not bothered about what is happening with Indian market. They provide quality products because they dont want to spoil their international goodwill by providing bad products to India.

They are running a business and not doing any social work to improve India or its economy. So we dont have to worry if Honda is not providing high end vehicles or not. We have other companies who are producing their high end vehicles for Indian market. So lets look in to that.

In 2011 and above I guess there will be many more 250cc and above bikes, HONDA 250cc Bike should be ready to compete those
HONDA has proved every time, home 250cc turns BEAST.

Really? PGMFi is a patended Honda technology and it was given to Hero Honda by Honda in the first place.

Hmm..This is interesting.Would like to see how things turn up.But looking by past experiences of Honda's previous launches i shouldnt be expecting much.

I sincerely hope Honda brings a world class 250cc bike for us starving bikers.

i've also heard about this... 110cc bike is coming next year, but a 250cc from Honda ? Without upgrading the Unicorn... thats not fair, because this bike is crying out for an upgrade...

Hero Honda 'rescues' Honda from skidding into reccession !!

Japanese major Honda, the only global automobile company to survive the downturn with a small growth, says it owes its sales growth to the top-gear performance of Indian joint venture Hero Honda. Honda Siel Cars India president and CEO Masahiro Takedagawa told ET NOW that Hero Honda’s performance has helped Honda buck the global skid riding on the demand for small, commuter motorcycles.

“It’s true...since September last year, the entire global industry has been impacted a lot and is no exception,” Mr Takedagawa said.

“We were damaged in the US, Europe and Japan. The Chinese, Asian and Latin American markets were so-so. It’s the commuters motorcycle business in Asia, particularly India, that has supported our business both in terms of profitability and growth. That’s the main reason why Honda is showing a small but still positive growth,” he added.

Honda Motor Corp in the first quarter ended June 09 of the current financial year clocked a $77.64 million net income, among the only two auto companies worldwide to do so. Fellow Japanese auto major also drove home a positive profit growth in the same quarter at nearly $22 million. Like Honda, Suzuki Motor Corp’s growth and profitability tally is thanks to its top-gear run in India with Maruti Suzuki.

Unsurprisingly, Honda sees no reason to disturb the applecart in the motorcycle market in India, now or after 2014 when the technical agreement with Hero group come up for renewal. “Since last year, Hero Honda has been showing lifetime records every month,” Mr Takedagawa said.

“Our business is showing good growth, profitability and giving good dividends. As a result the share price of Hero Honda is at record high. So logically there is no reason for us to split,” Mr Takedagawa said categorically. Hero Honda rescues Honda from skidding in recession- Automobiles-Auto-News By Industry-News-The Economic Times

^^ What I liked in the above piece of news is that, it was not Hero Group making tall claims, but Honda showering praise on HH !!
