Though it was heartening to see FI's astounding performance and also quite heartbreaking as I'm a Kimi man and was torn between patriotism and support for the Finn one needs to be practical on their expectations of FI for the rest of the season.
Spa is the first medium downforce circuit in the calendar and the VJM02 did a great job with the aero upgrades and new front and rear wings introduced in Valencia. Spa suited their upgrades and the circuit really 'came' to the cars.

When we go onto Monza in 2 weeks time, a very low downforce circuit I would expect Force India to get back to the midfield between 10 - 15th positions.

well yeah whatsoever I am happy that Force India got 2nd position in yesterdays race...to be within a second difference behind the Ferrari it was a great achievment for them.... hoping FI would get better day by day

I havent cribbed, I'm just stating the obvious. If they win the race, good on them. If they dont? Too bad. Either way i dont have anything for them or against them.

Armchair critiquing is one thing. Actually driving a race is quite another, eh?

Besides, it's not like the light fuel load strategy hasn't been tried by the big guns, is it? If it meets the minimum weight limit, it's fair game.

I'm thinking there's a foot in your mouth that needs to be surgically removed right about now. No offense meant.

I was hoping to see and hear the Indian National Anthem but I am still very proud of FI and Mallya. They should do well at Monza too, let us see.

Had the FI car run with KERS (Kinetic Energy Recovery Systems) then we would have heard the Indian National Anthem...Kimi's car was on KERS.

As someone else here said correctly, he has a foot of his own in his mouth!I chose to quit replying to him before the race Giancarlo's skills and Force India's car did all the talking.

Yep, so was I and a lot of others I guess. And the best part was that it was a win-win situation for Indian Ferrari fans, wasnt it?!

Wow. Seem's im really popular here for a few trolls. Apparently just stating the obvious on the fuel loads was a problem for a lot of people here?

Lol. well anyways as far as Force India is concerned good on them, i cant be bothered anyways. As far as im concerned I enjoyed the race and thats all. Ferrari did well and Barrichello was fun to watch.

As far as i reckoned both Kimi and Vettel did well on their strategy which i anyway expected given their fuel loads, though Kimi stopping on the same lap as Fisi was something of a mixed bag. Heikki was a surprise though and given the pressure he was under, it was a good drive.

True. Infact, they are trying to get Fisichella for the next race at Monza, and the remaining 4 races after that. Now, an Italian driver in an Italian car at an Italian circuit - Fisichella would need a huge heart to refuse that! Whatever be, he'd be certainly a far better replacement (temporary) to Massa rather than the current one

I don't think so. KERS has a reputation for screwing up weight distribution. Thats why majority of the teams are not using them or either ditch them. Similar argument could be said that if Ferrari was not using KERS, its pace would have been faster. Its a classic example of 'you gain some, you lose some'.
Anyone noticed, Kimi is proving to be a thorn on Force India? I think it was in Monaco where Force India was denied a sure point when kimi smashed the rear or the Force India car. Here again, Kimi denied them the win. And Kimi, who have not won a single race this year. He had to be this race.

But podium nevertheless, and won second place fair and square and not some luck of better cars crashing out. Far better than I expected. I thought Force India would surely win some points, but not podium. And my bet is, they will be winning some more points. I feel their improvement is genuine and not merely a good fortune of being right for this track alone. Here's toasting for more wins in the future.
