    Mumbai Police To Patrol On Yamaha FZS

    the state department has asked none other than disaster designer Dilip Chhabria to modify the bikes. DC chose the FZ-S as it is one of the fastest bikes and has wide wheels and is easy to modify. Each bike will help DC pocket anything between Rs 15,000-20,000. That is a cool Rs. 1 crore in just modifications and another Rs. 4 crore in procuring the bikes. Now you know where your tax payments go, in boosting the image of the police force.

      Nice to hear that now Mumbai police is going to have a new vehicle to roam here & there on a completely new fearing bike........ what about Delhi police(Pulsar)????????????? We all know that in our political system every thing is corrupted & it will take our life to kill it but we know this, that we will die even then it will not finish....... Our country is doing really well hope that ab isse bura na ho otherwise hamare Bharat ka kya hoga bhagwan jaane...... Xbhp has taken initiative atleast to clear our automotive problems lets see what happens in other feilds.......

        This maybe the WORLD's weirdest looking bike ever...

        I expect the final product/design to be much much better from DC.

              Disaster designer haha well said.. i always hated his crappy designs from my childhood, used to feel sick looking at his half assed mods in autoindia way back then..

              I loove FZ, but this seriously is a pity.. imagine the thief outrunning on a second hand mod rx-100 :P

                    Chennai police have got Apache's and Accents.

                    Mumbai police had Fiero's and Qualis.

                    Bangalore police has Pulsar's.

                    (Hyderabad police Blue Coats have CD100's.)

                    Now the FZ's.

                    Nothing wrong. But the huge amount being spent on customizing has to come down.

                        Doesnt seem to be an intelligent move. FZ-S would be easily surpassed by zma/p200/p220/p180/160rtr/180rtr/r15 etc. They (Mumbai Police) should equip their cops with such machines who can chase just like Delhi cops have p180 which may not be the best but still can give tough fight to big machines on the roads.

                        Looks more like a decesion showcase of compromising with real neccessity.

                          Bullets were doing the job ---but due to its maintenance cost and lack of advance technologies, Eye candy....they are been replaced with FZ...

                          Coz Fat bellies need fat tyres...... (Oh my god now im involved in Cop Crime)....

                            they are not gonna chase people on race tracks or open highways using those bikes... on city roads they would be able to chase down at least 95 out of 100 people they wanted to stop.

                            But they might junk the FZ's soon if the alloys start cracking when hit upon potholes... especially during the monsoon in Mumbai!

                              @freakoo , Kindly refrain from abusing on the forum especially on sensitive topics...

                              every story has 2 sides and you should have enough of experience/maturity on the roads to brand the traffic police as the way you have...
